    I've been testing one but gonna see how many optins I get from the 1000 visitor a month max without upgrading. Looks pretty good to me though, now just have to build my list.

    Theres no harm in starting with getresponse for kicks. But if you're serious about list-building, be prepared to get serious about list-building. You'll have to move on to a better platform eventually.

    I have never used GR but Aweber's self-hosted forms are basically the same thing.

    I've tested them and found they worked great for FB ads in the guitar lessons niche. I got North of 70% optins until FB ran out of fresh eyeballs for my ads.

    Like everything else, the only way you'll know for sure is to test.
