A neat use of custom fields in autoresponders
Another powerful use for autoresponder fields is to add in *hidden* fields that automatically are set to specific values.
So... let's say that you have a template for your customer care followups.
You can create a field and name it
dlpage
and set it to the download page you want to send your customers to.
You can create a field called
productname
and set that appropriately as well.
Then you can create ONE set of followups that use these variables....
And simply duplicate them across campaigns when you want to build a new customer care sequence for a new product, ie, something like:
"Thank you for investing in [[pre productname]]!
Your download page is
[[pre dlpage]]
and don't hesitate to contact me if you
have any questions!"
(that's how GetResponse sets fields).
