Congratulations to wanna-succeed, who is the winner. Time for some fun. This isn't a serious contest, so please don't take it seriously. The rules are simple; answer the questions I present to the best of your ability. Here's the fun part; if this contest wins the honor of being awarded an iPad, courtesy of Allen, then the winner will get the iPad instead of me. Why? Because I don't need an iPad, I need a laptop. If this contest doesn't get an iPad, then the winner will get a pat on the head, and $20 in paypal cash. Everyone else will be pointed at and laughed at. Lulz, just kidding, you all get a pat on the head too, but no money. So the questions are, in no particular order: 1) Let's say you wanted to run a contest here on WF. What kind of contest would you run? Why? What would you do to make your contest stand out and benefit people? 2) If you could change ONE thing about the WF, what would it be, and why? How would you go about making this change? How would it be beneficial to Warriors? 3) Which thread here on WF has benefited you the most, and why? Bonus Question: What question related to WF would you like answered? More questions will be added soon, as I can think of them. Obviously, the point of these questions is to help make WF a better place for everyone. Posts will be judged on the following criteria:
Remember, have fun, and try your best. Joshua |

Well, first off, this is a pretty cool contest, great idea. Now, let's get to the answering part... 1) I would run a contest where the contestants would be entered into a 64\32\16 (not critical how many) writing tournament. I am very fond of writing, and I enjoy it, and I have never seen such a contest here. I think many people would benefit from this contest by gaining exposure, networking and, plain simple, having fun!:p. Perhaps the winner(s) would be able to sell their articles to the great WF crowd....Endless possibilities. 2) If I could change 1 thing about the WF (Allen - don't spite me...), I would change the JointVentures section. I would turn that section into something a bit more oriented, meaning I would divide the JV's into brackets. Each person could better locate the section that appeals to them most, and not look through the whole forum, hoping to find something sweet. I think this would best the WF crowd by making it more efficient. People would have an easier time finding what they are looking for. Allen, nothing personal man, I love this forum! You ROCK! 3) The thread which benefited me the most here on the WF would definitely be this one - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...8MfDTMnd2a4t4Z If you read it, you would probably find it very odd, however I got exactly what I was looking for. This thread started a friendship, literally. I could not ask for a better ROI for that thread... I wont delve on the details, because it's not important, but I can say that we have some very smart, talented & all around awesome warriors in this forum. I always get blown away when I meet more of these amazing people. I should also say that I got all the questions I needed answered, answered, to perfection! For a bonus question, I would want to know how much this forum earns on a monthly basis. Allen, don't send me to the brig amigo...:p I just like seeing statistics on sites, and this seems to be an extremely successful forum, so I thought it would be interesting to see what it makes. WF RULES! |

Well, well, thanks for your post. It was both helpful and informative. As for your question regarding how much WF makes, I'd like to know too. If I were to hazard a guess, it would be in the range of $80,000 to $200,000 a month. Better keep your fingers crossed. If no one else makes a post soon, you'll win by default, thought you probably will not get an iPad. I doubt Allen gives iPads to contests with only one contestant, LOL! Still though, $20 is better than a poke in the eye, eh? Joshua |

Here's a contest: (I'll donate a free website critique to the winner - that's the best I can do, and I give killer website critiques.) Okay, we have all pulled bloopers in our copy. SO - What Is YOUR Biggest, Funniest/Grossest/Etc. Personal Blooper? Rules: * This must be your copywriting goof - not someone else's. * This contest will end on March 1st. * Post your blooper/s here. So long as they honestly are yours, you can post however many as qualify. Should be good for laughs, if nothing else! Dot PS - What good is living if we can't laugh at ourselves? PPS - Just noticed we have to answer other questions. Here's my answers: What would I change about warriors? I'd make all those who post asking for critiques... post in their own little sub-forum, under the Copywriting Forum. There truly is a whole lot more to copywriting than just critiquing each other! "Want more offline clients? This is a NEVER FAIL way to do it." http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...il-way-do.html This is one thread that helped me get started working with local people. I only used it once or twice, but the mere fact that this technique is available in my "back-door bag" gives me a nice sense of empowerment. |

Um, I'm afraid I don't know how to link one thread to another. Sorry!

And it would be kind of nice winning by default, although I hope my post is good enough to beat people. It was very genuine. And 20$ is sweet man, regardless if I win or not. It's mighty kind of you to be offering an iPad if this thread wins, very decent of you. If this thread wins, the winner should be the one to pay you 20$! Anyway, it was a really neat idea, I might start a contest of my own soon, I like seeing people discuss and interact on a more personable level, than just sharing information about boring links.

I probably will add questions in the future, but I'd like to point out that you're free to change or add to your submission at any time. Nothing is set in stone here.

well in that case, here's my unedited version.... before i answer the intial 3 questions, and the bonus question, i have to say i don't like the #1 question only because others can steal my idea or other peoples ideas. i am assuming you meant posting a "challenge". for this reason, i wont post my #1 challenge or contest. i will however post my #2 1) i would run a contest based on the current contest of "sponser a warrior in need". i would make it a year long contest and this is how it would go. i would challenge just ONE person to help at least 1 person on this forum at random. never mind this who deserves it most business. this person will veteran will show this one person step by step in how to make money in internet marketing with little or no cash. once the member has taken the steps earned at LEAST $100 cash which he or she can duplicate anytime he or she wants, that person is now a mentor and will choose someone else to help with the same system that WORKS while building on what was already taught them. everyone will be accountable because nobody will want to see the thread dead when it was their turn to help someone. they will try HARD to teach what they learned or be considered a deadbeat(not like dan). now who does a mentor choose? when it is their turn to accept the challenge, they will look to see who is online and pm 10 people the offer. the first one who responds gets to be mentored. how it benefits people is obvious. it's "people helping people". they way the world should work. i think this type of challenge would stand out on it's own. 2) i would make a section DEDICATED to helping people get started not only in the warrior room, but making money online. if i was an admin, i would give PRIVLIDGES to those who want to run that section of the forum and guide people on a personal level. if they are willing to put in that time, then they get 100% free benefits to everything the warrior forum has to offer unless it's decided by the admins that they are being lazy. that means, all the wso's at no cost and free to bump threads, etc.... it benefits EVERYONE. even the admins who can brag about how exceptional their forum is where they don't even need a challenge from another warrior to dictate that this forum is DEDICATED to helping people. 3) to choose one thread is to discredit the others. i have a hard time just choosing one. if someone had a gun to my head though, i would have to say the war room. even though people are giving away things and ideas to make a name for themselves, it's still one of the best places i have ever seen to pick up a gold nugget that can actually have the potential of changing someones life for the better. BONUS Q) why does it seem like everyone is in it for themselves? i am new here and i pick up a VERY strong energy from a lot of the veterans. most of them seem like they are in it for themselves without a second thought of the THOUSANDS of people who actually need help getting started. so yea.... why does it seem like everyone is in it for themselves? in conclusion, this place is as old as dirt and is VERY successful in providing information to the regular joe blow(in the thousands) who drop by every day. there was a method to my answers. the idea behind ALL my answers was simple. this place should take a stand in helping more people on a personal level rather than allow them to take in ALL the information here and get confused and quit on their dream of just making some money online. also, i know i stressed a negative i see in the warrior forum, but i don't want to discredit it. it's one of the best places any internet marketer can be and i hope it's the goal of the warrior forum admins, the moderators, and the members, to continue to strive to make it THE best place to be. edit: joshua- i know you told us not to take it seriously, but i took it seriously hope you don't mind. heheheh |

Hey man, it's okay. Thanks for your submission, you have some interesting thoughts. Oh, by the way, I think it's extremely unlikely that someone would steal your idea and make a contest out of it on this forum. That would be pretty transparent. Thanks again. |

I have literally tens of ideas (I almost typed hundreds but that would be exaggerating). I have scraps of paper everywhere with ideas, some for IM, some for other things in my life. I wish you luck in taking action and getting the plugin built. (One of my to do's is to learn to program PHP so that I can write plugins - I come from an assembler/Pascal/COBOL/etc background so I doubt it will take me long once I get to that list item.) However, I'm afraid that I won't join your challenge right now. I am currently working on a big project that will take the best part of two months and I need to focus on that. But you'll see posts from me in a couple of months offering a fantastic product |
