Good news, I've just sold my first product on Amazon. It's only an $11 item and it's still yet to ship; so it's not showing up as an earning yet; however this is a step in the right direction. Sale came from a click-through via an article I created on a Web 2.0 site. Stats so far for this challenge are 43 clicks and 1 sale since starting the challenge. I'm hoping this will ramp up as the articles start to show up in SERPs. How's everyone else doing? |

I wrote an article on a Web 2.0 site (Squidoo) which linked out to Amazon. Someone followed the link and bought a product. This morning someone else just bought another item. This time an electric razor battery. However this is via the Squidoo Amazon system, not via my own aff link so I have to share the commission. |

Another sale made overnight. This time it was this some Aveeno Moisturizer from another Squidoo lens. Not a high ticket item but another good sign. |

Two books sold over the weekend. Tiny margins but more progress, I'm liking this. I've also been toying with another affiliate system in my down time and made a $14.50 commission from (using the same strategy of guest posting and building Web 2.0 pages). Anyone else having any success or have any tips? |

My Amazon stats have never been good and the maximum i´ve ever made was 70$ in a month, most months it is virtually nothing (10-20$) from 50 - 100 clicks. This month so far is 11 clicks, 2 items shipped and 2.95$ in commission, I would say this is a bad month considering Christmas, it´s something I want to change over the coming months. In any event, 1206 clicks and no conversions really would seem to be madness to me - However, I could be wrong and perhaps my stats aren´t so bad afterall - regarding % anyway, cause my $ results are dismal however you look at it. lol.

Could it be that all your traffic is US based and your Amazon Affiliates account is not US Based? I don´t think you get paid for those. I´m no expert though, i´m sure someone else will have more defined answers.

Spent last few months bringing it back and now seeing click throughs again but no sales, but from the past figures the niche products im targeting sell this is why i cant understand no sales this time round.

That´s very strange, if the clicks are back then that´s key isn´t it. Sorry to hear that Google squashed your clicks, but good job on bringing them back. To have not one sale from 1200 clicks seems weird to me. Not sure what you can do from here. Perhaps an Amazon specialist can advise. All the best with getting it back. |

Agree that this sounds odd. Could be a genuine coincidence but unlikely. Maybe run a test purchase to see if everything is 100%. Buy a .99c Kindle book or App and see if it registers on your account.

That´s an idea. Is there not a risk of them thinking its an invalid click/sale though?

Looks like some people had great success. Congrats! Squidoo is a great resource and community as people mentioned, they have integrated Amazon modules for your pages and other tools to monetize your pages / content. Can some of you share your techniques, strategies, or steps taken to generate your affiliate sales? For those that used Squidoo, where did your pages get most of their traffic? Did you use social media sites and what was there impact? I'm curious. Thanks. |

If you don't mind i have a few Q. 1.- 'cause i'm not native english guest blogging is out of my reach , can i use UAW to write guest post ? 2.- do you own long tail pro or the premium version ? 3.- i visited your 2 blogs , wich of the theme ( 10 best wp theme post ) you would suggest me for amazon ? 4.- do you think using UAW it's ok to create Squidoo lens articles? I own the books megastore ( like in my signature below ) selling amazon books i started on dec 21 since now i had 4 sales , but about 100 visit a days without doing any promotion , could you suggest ? best regards and thanks for sharing |

Possibly your link formatting is wrong.
How many lenses are those earnings from? Also, do you create a seperate lens for each product you review or do you review multiple products on the same lens? Just wondering what is the most effective from a traffic perspective.

Just to save on any confusion. I only used UAW to promote articles I wrote manually. Although I have stopped doing this now in favor of increasing the quality of my articles (this is enough to get them ranked). Also Squidoo was just one of the platforms used. I also use other platforms for placing articles. The one common factor to all the locations I place articles is that the domain has a PR6 or above. This makes it easier for any article I write to rank quickly and well. |

I want to participate in this challenge. I plan on trying to find something good to promote on Amazon, look into ways to promote it online, free preferably like Squidoo and so on, until I get a tiny bit of money (though I doubt I'll make a cent) and then follow through.

I had a website created by one of the members here (which was for FREE) though I paid for the domain/hosting. I joined a challenge here in WF to earn in Amazon but I got stuck on how and where to start (i.e. how to join Amazon associate, how to write reviews, etc). I will regularly check your blog and also post comments there to ask questions. I want to make money with amazon in 30 days. So I am hoping that this thread, as well as your blog will be the key to this goal.

Adrian, are you running a new challenge? I set up my first Amazon site last month and am now getting about 15 organic unique visitors/day there without any promotion (I haven't submitted any links or articles, Squidoo etc...simply pulling in long-tail keywords). I got my first sale a few days ago which was pretty sweet. Anyway I have another domain that I bought targeting a great niche ($200+ average order value) and I want to get it going but could use the motivation that competition brings. Also was wondering if you would be interested in checking out my current site and giving me any pointers on how to improve it and more importantly how and where to promote it to really start ranking top 10. |

The best thing you could do is start a blog (or if you already have one announce this) and let us all know the address. Use the blog to post 1 objective post and then write weekly updates. This has really helped me plow through my work and get my case study site up and running. In fact I'm now in the process of outsourcing content creation for secondary articles to a VA for 6 other Amazon sites. This should help me determine if my process is solid and repeatable/scalable. If you want to talk directly for review etc just contact me directly through WF.
