30 Day Article Writing Challenge - Write One Article Per Day For The Month of September 2013

Hello!

After an extremely successful 30 day article writing challange for August, graciously put on by the lovely 'TipTopCat,' the collective thread for that challenge decided we needed another one for September! I volunteered to write up the new challenge thread and hopefully make it as great of a success as the one in August.

The Goal of This Challenge
My personal goal is to complete 30 high-quality articles and publish them on my website, which I just started a few weeks ago. This will build up great content for my site, and some of it I will be attempting to syndicate to others and maybe post on sites like ezinearticles.com to get more people to share the content (and get me links & traffic!).

If you'd like to join the challenge, just pop into this thread every time you complete an article and let us know! Ideally, if you could post a link to where you published it, that would be great. If it for a PLR pack or something, and you don't want to publish it, just letting us know that you completed it is fine too. We'll run on the honor system here.

The Rules
You simply have to post one article each day. That's it!

If you write more than one article per day, GREAT! Post them all here!

Please post here if you'd like to join. If you come late to the party, no problem. Just start off on whatever day you arrive, and try to get as much done as you can! The last thread really seemed to help a lot of people, and I'm sure this one can too!

So, get your typing fingers ready, and lets make September the month where YOU took ACTION! (And don't forget to invite your friends!)

I wanted to start my own 30 day PLR store challenge, but seeing as I'm new to the forum I don't have enough posts to start my own challenge here.

So I'm more than happy to join your article writing challenge to keep me accountable. My aim for September was to write 5 articles a week, set them up in my store and do some marketing.

I was inspired by Tiffany to dust off my copy of PLR ATM and finally start my own store. As she recommends to set your goals higher than what you think you can achieve, I will make 7 articles a week my new goal.

Count me in!

Definitely in on this one. Not only is my goal to get at least 1 article per day written, but also finish up another Kindle book within the month. Already have the outline ready to go, so it's a matter of just writing, editing and getting it all finalized before the end of the month!

Similarly to Nadia Van G, I'm going to use this September challenge to produce PLR products for my new site. I'll write one article per day for inclusion in a PLR 5-pack, and hopefully I'll be able to write more.

Just getting back into the swing of things from vacation and since I had to leave during the last week of the August writing challenge, I stopped short of the 30 article mark, leaving me with 9 more articles to finish for August.

I'll write those in conjunction with September so I can get back on track.

Thanks for taking over the wheel to the September challenge. Like Paul and Nadia, I will continue writing for my PLR store as well as writing how-to tutorials, reviews, and blog posts for my main website. I also want to finish my how-to membership site and this will give me the incentive to get that done!

I look forward to interacting with you again, Michael! August was fun so September can only get better!

Great timing! I was about to start an affiliate niche site a month ago but doesn't have the motivation to do so. I figure I could outsource all the article writings for my website but I don't have the heart to use all my hard-earned money on Fiverr for the risk. So why not write the articles myself?

It is time to stretch out from my comfort zone!

I'm up for the challenge!

This sounds great! Challenges like this can be the motivation needed to actually go through with content creation. When people see others getting sh*t done it motivates them to do the same!

Just think, do this for 3 months and you almost have 100 pages on content!

Exactly. This is my second challenge like this. I started almost half way through August, and still got 23 articles created! 30+ this month for sure!

If someone is to post 1 article per day here does that mean they shouldn't post it online elsewhere? Wouldn't it take away from their SEO efforts because of duplicate content?

The reason why I ask this because I blog a lot and blogging is very similar to articles. I would join but if I'm hurting my SEO efforts being unable to blog in both places it may not be to helpful for myself.

How would it work?

Hey Manny,

Firstly, welcome to the Challenge! :-) I hope that you'll be writing an article per day along with the rest of us.

Secondly, you won't be posting your article text here, just a link to it. So that'll create a nice backlink and you'll get some traffic to your site from folks who read your post here and follow your link.

Thirdly, you don't even have to post a link to your article, or even tell us anything about it, other than that you have written it. Accountability is what a lot of us are looking for.

Fourth, it wouldn't hurt your SEO if you did post your article text here and elsewhere. There is no duplicate content penalty for content across different sites. Otherwise, most of the news services wouldn't function, content curation wouldn't work, etc. The only duplicate content penalty is when you have multiple pages of your own site, each with the same content.

So you won't be hurting your SEO etc.

The only possible downside is if you didn't want people to see your article text, because they might use your stuff etc. The solutions to that include: don't post your article text or information about it here; or post content and links to content that you want people to share and help to go viral because that exposure will benefit you.

Today, I created a Squidoo lens which will link back to my website. Still need to add some more content, but it equals 1 article at the moment. So there, my first day task for this challenge is done and finished.

For my own challenge, I've done some keyword research and selected 5 keywords for my very first article pack.

You guys are rockstars working through the holiday weekend like that!

Although Labor Day weekend was incredibly busy for me, I managed to pick up the slack today. Finished one article and wrapped up an outline for another Kindle book. With the limited amount of time I've had, I'd say today was successful

As for tomorrow (and the rest of the week), I've made sure to stack my plate. Will check back in later this week to post up an update.

No no. It is the firewall at my office. Sites like YouTube, Facebook and other 'distracting, non-work related' sites are blocked, along with a ton of other seemingly random sites. It's hit or miss.

Hi guys! I'm new to the forum but would love to join in on this challenge. I'm just getting started with niche websites so I have lots to write about. I also keep my own personal blog documenting my journey, and that's the first article/blog I will post there. I guess since I'm starting on the 3rd of the month, I will have to make up the other 2 articles down the line. Nobody really visits my personal blog, it's just an outlet for myself, but I'm still counting it.

Wouldn't it take away from their SEO efforts because of duplicate content? The reason why I ask this because I blog a lot and blogging is very similar to articles. I would join but if I'm hurting my SEO efforts being unable to blog in both places it may not be to helpful for myself. How would it work? Manny

Secondly, you won't be posting your article text here, just a link to it. So that'll create a nice backlink and you'll get some traffic to your site from folks who read your post here and follow your link. Thirdly, you don't even have to post a link to your article, or even tell us anything about it, other than that you have written it. Accountability is what a lot of us are looking for. Fourth, it wouldn't hurt your SEO if you did post your article text here and elsewhere. There is no duplicate content penalty for content across different sites. Otherwise, most of the news services wouldn't function, content curation wouldn't work, etc. The only duplicate content penalty is when you have multiple pages of your own site, each with the same content. So you won't be hurting your SEO etc. The only possible downside is if you didn't want people to see your article text, because they might use your stuff etc. The solutions to that include: don't post your article text or information about it here; or post content and links to content that you want people to share and help to go viral because that exposure will benefit you. Although Labor Day weekend was incredibly busy for me, I managed to pick up the slack today. Finished one article and wrapped up an outline for another Kindle book. With the limited amount of time I've had, I'd say today was successful As for tomorrow (and the rest of the week), I've made sure to stack my plate.
