Techsmith released Camtasia Studio 3 FREE years ago.. I wonder if it still works

Some years ago Tech Smith released Camtasia Studio 3 for FREE. It was announced here in the Warrior Forum and I jumped on it, to get one, however now that I have Windows 10, I guess it doesn't want to work anymore.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for it for Windows 10, or perhaps has anyone heard that Tech Smith might make this great offer again?

That's a very old version. I've read somewhere that the version 3 does not work well beyond Windows XP, so I doubt if you can make it work with Windows 10 (you would run into compatibility problems).

If you want to do screen recording, there are other alternatives though, like Jing (http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html)
