Traffic Travis 4 Pro - Just Bought It & Not Satisfied!

Ok, so now there is another problem that I'm running into using their ****ty software. I definitely feel like I've been scammed by Mark Ling & Traffic Travis now. The "SEO Competition Module" told me yesterday that several keyword phrases were "EASY to rank for" and then I double-checked those same exact keywords again today and now I'm getting totally different results!

The results that were saying "Easy to rank for" are now saying either "Relatively Easy" or "Medium Difficult". This is a really great way to screw a lot of people up when they're trying to go out and build a niche site. I mean, just imagine that Traffic Travis just got through giving you false results making you believe that a niche is "Easy to rank for", you go and spend the money and time setting up the site (not to mention the $97 for TT4 too) only to fail at ranking anywhere in google. You'd most-likely be just as equally pissed as I would be.

I paid the $97 only to be disappointed with this useless "SEO Competition Analysis Module" (and this is probably the most vital module of them all!). I'm not going to say that all of the modules are useless (only because I haven't played around enough with them yet & couldn't say for sure), but I will say that the Traffic Travis SEO Competition Module is NOT accurate when searching bulk keywords, it chokes up on me all the time with the google blocking, and only pulls back about 20-25 keywords backlinks data info before you are hit with the blocking or limitation that they throw up at you.

I'm pissed as of right now because I almost bought a domain name, hosting, and invested in expensive software to building a niche site based off of the inaccurate data that Traffic Travis was giving me. I could have lost a lot of money and time due to their garbage.

I'm definitely going to request a refund & if they do not bother to give it to me, then I will raise all hell and use whatever marketing skills that I have to get out the word that Traffic Travis is a scam & so is Mark Ling. I will be fair enough to give them a chance to resolve this issue first.

Traffic Travis was relevant half a decade ago... This is 2012.

I know it was buggy as hell when it first came out but I would of got fixed by now.

People bash it but I return time and again to Market Samurai. And add to that Long Tail Pro, and you'd be good I think.

- Of course you'll need proxies. You're hammering Google with a ton of requests if you're checking the competition of a lot of keywords at once.

- The SEO competition module is nothing more than a starting point. It's very, very difficult to automate the process of analyzing competition. But the competition module is a nice starting point. (I always dig deeper on the keywords I'm interested in.)

- Competition can definitely fluctuate on a day to day basis.

Traffic Travis is not that good as it was working in the past but now a days many good software are in the market so you should look for the best one..

Could someone confirm the breakdown of the terms in order of difficulity as it seems the software thinks that medium difficulty is easier to rank than relatively easy. So I just want to know which each term is on a scale please?

Sorry but the complaint that you need to buy proxies is just ridiculous. No software package that queries another service (Google , Google adwords etc) can provide you with unlimited proxies capabilities. The only way around this is to use an online service not a one time purchase you own.

the second complaint is a little better but still is just unrealistic. You should never buy a tool to tell you what to do or make up for your misunderstanding of SEO. The difficult/easy medium markers are just there for quick reference. its the data of the PR, baccklinks, the keywords in title and H1 etc that you should analyze to determine a compete in a serp.

Trying out Traffic travis now so no not a defender of the program just think those criticisms are unfair on the face of it.

With the exception of Market Samurai that comes with it's own proxies, so there's not need to buy others. On the downside it makes it a bit slower, but honestly, it's always worked for me. I agree that being grumpy about needing proxies is silly. You can get software on here called proxy goblin that goes and finds working proxies (elite, anonymous etc.) so for $30 you never buy proxies again.

Traffic Travis 4 is pure crap! Traffic Travis 3 was so much better and faster and easier user-friendly.

Luckily I still have a copy of TT3, and I immediately uninstall TT4 to reinstall TT3.

Talk about downgrading from Vista to XP again.

Hi MarketingAce, i think i know where the problem is..Are you using private proxies or shared?Which country are you targeting?I guess USA, right?Try to find proxies from USA if that is the case.If you are using proxies from different countries you will get different results. It was easier to post this thread to Traffic Travis forum so they could help you out.

Traffic travis is AMAZING - google DOES block you if you do too many searches at once on your one IP - happens to me all the time with various products I use - so having proxies is crucial for that.

You continue to NOT use traffic travis, and i'll continue to outrank you because I am using it :-)

Or if you want an alternative, Market Samurai, which I've used since 2008. Still accurate and makes me money. I've also heard that they'll be soon releasing v 1 officially with one more module to come and other stuff planned for 2013. So you might want to check it out sooner rather than later. Bear in mind you can do a hell of a lot more in Market Samurai than just keyword research.

I have been using TT for a while and it does a great job for me, however it does have some bugs and not always meet my expectation 100%! Using GOOD private proxies from USA usually gives better result especially if you are targeting US market. I believe no tool is 100% perfect and I personally like to verify the result with other tools as necessary if that makes sense.

Well the thing is like many say, It should have included that you will need to buy additional proxies after buying the program, but instead Mark Ling tried to be slick by hiding in TT that you need proxies & you should use Proxy Bonanza (with his affiliate link to make additional money). That's shady on his behalf.

Also, yes it is possible to implement proxies into the program of their own so that we don't have to buy ours separately from the program. Like Cypherslock mentioned, Market Samurai already has this feature.

If Mark Ling wasn't trying to make additional $$$ from his affiliate links (and I know that was & still is his intentions), then he would have made the program to allow you to use public proxies which are FREE, but he didn't implement this into TT.

Can not but agree with those who say that TT ruled in the past. Sorry to say but now I find it useless, at least for my purposes.
P.S. tried also IBP and M.Samurai(the guys does a great job) and eventually I stopped at SEO PowerSuite. Though it took some time configure everything, but now the software is of much help for me.

lol. I uninstalled Traffic Travis, after repeatedly writing them everytime they did an upgrade. It wouldn't accept my registration code. The last time (2 months ago) they didn't even respond, but continued to send me their invites to third party sales on webinars.

Market Samuria? Really? These guys had scads of software issues a year ago. I also uninstalled their software three months ago. I finally paid for professional seo desktop software. I bought the entire enterprise SEO Suite from Link Assistant out of Gemany. And yes, I buy captcha's and proxies. It is part of the seo business.

If you're serious about seo, spend a good thousand dollars and then learn all you can about the software and how to use it. You get what you pay for in most cases. Here, if you continue to buy $99 apps, you get very little. If you are a professional SEO, you use what I use and pass it on to your clients or cost it into your website operations.
