iWriter review - my advice: Stay Away From It!

I've used iwriter for nearly a year now and I must say, I'm really happy with them for the most part.

The trick is to never submit your articles to "Basic" or "All writers". Utilize only the Premium or Elite members. I've rejected a lot less articles using this method.

Basic gave me tons of horribly written or "spun" articles.

I have 0 issues now that I got 7 writes saved to my Favorites. I'm guaranteed a great article 100% of the time when they're requested.

Just use 4 star writers and you're usually good to go. If I do 3 star jobs, i expect crap - if I do 4 star - i keep them 80% of the time

Order a 500 word 3 star job, you'll most likely see what I mean. Granted Some are good, but some are just poorly spun content that's not at all readable.

No - they all seem to be fine.

I'm actually doing a little case study for my subscribers, so have been spending time on the site writing articles (which is something i never previously thought i would do). It's been an interesting experience to see it from the writers point of view.

As far as scammers go, they are on every site, but I had a very recent experience which tells me iWriter are doing a fantastic job of dealing with it.

I have a rating of just over 4.7 stars, but had an article rejected and rated 1 star with the comment "pooly written"(yes pooly, not poorly!). The article itself looked quite fine to me, I would have expected 4 or 5 stars for it. I figured something must be going on so I sent in a support ticket asking them to review it, as it was researched, well written, no spelling or grammatical errors, and there was no reason why it should have been rejected.

I expected the response from support would be to dismiss me as just another writer who had his ego bruised by a poor rating. I was pleasantly surprised that after investigating my complaint, they came back and apologized to me, adjusted my rating for the article to give it a 5 star rating and removed the "pooly written" comment from my account.

Scammers and dishonest people are everywhere on the internet and often they can't be stopped from joining these type of sites. I think what matters most is how they are dealt with when they are discovered, and in this instance I am very impressed with how iWriter have handled the situation.

Now that I have a little bit of experience as a writer there, here are some tips you can use next time you request an article that will help the writers to supply you with the article you want.

*Be specific in your instructions. Don't assume anything. Don't say you want a "good seo article", as peoples interpretations of what is a good keyword density etc can vary wildly. If you are vague in your instructions, don't be dissapointed by the article you get back. If you instruct the writer EXACTLY how you want your article done, then you are far more likely to get your article written that way. It's also a good way to filter out the poor writers, because if they see all of those detailed instructions they might decide it is too hard and not touch it, which saves you having to review and reject it. Taking 5 minutes to fill out the instructions at the start can save you 30 minutes of reviewing and rejecting later.

*If you are unhappy with what you are getting from standard writers, try the premium writers. If you are still unhappy, try elite. It takes a lot of work and many good quality articles (minimum 30 reviews and 4.6 star or higher average rating) for a writer to qualify as elite, and the last thing they want to do is lose that status by giving you a low quality article.

*You can find good writers at the standard level who are worthy of high ratings but haven't yet met the minimum volume qualifications, but it just comes down to luck. As others have said, if you like a particular writer add them to your favourites and leave a small tip. They will be very keen to work for you next time around. Writers also like fast approval times, so when you get the email notification from iWriter that your article has been written, go and review as soon as you can.

Well, I just ordered 7 articles and got spun crap within 20 minutes of posting. Is that how it is supposed to work?

Do you need to request premium writers so that the article is actually usuable or readable?

If not, than maybe they should make it clearer to the writers what's acceptable and what's not.

That's not a good way to operate. If you are rejecting that many then you are probably looking for a higher quality article than you ordered. You should go up a price level or two. Also, no one with any experience will write for you as they won't want to risk their time or their ratings (especially true with longer articles). I wrote for a few idiots when I first started, who penalized me for their inability to give clear directions. I would now need to write over 250 articles all with 5.0 ratings, in order to get from 4.6+ to 4.85 so I could write elite plus articles.

iWriter does well because the vast majority of users are VERY happy, which is why it writes more articles, employees more writers, and serves more satisfied users than any article writing service on the planet. iWriter has an extremely high re-order rate. Those using the service over and over are growing their businesses, not complaining in a forum saying they got banned (which is always for a very good reason). And it's those customers we work hard at serving.

Anyone could create an account on a forum and post a negative comment about some product or service and it's almost always going to draw a crowd of complainers. Forums always always always breed negativity and hearsay. Spend 5 minutes in the Warrior forum and you'll quickly see that to be the case. More often than not they are a far cry from reality. I'm sure you already know this, but it's worth saying for those that might be new to the "internet marketing world".
