    This plugin now works, and works beautifully!

    Walt is a STAND UP GUY.. and he stands behind his products. He worked out every bug, and even more impressive, is that he never once said or even hinted that it was my fault or that I didn't know what I was doing. He even commended me on my integrity.

    I put up a Part 2, and edited Part 1 (there are a lot of lessons about integrity and professionalism to be learned from both posts and the comments on each of them.) and included a video demo. (If you need the link, PM me or find my Skype ID in my WaFo profile.)

    There is one tiny 'quirk.' It's not a bug, and it may not happen to you... for all I know it's my hosting or htaccess, or even my theme, or something... but when I changed themes, I had to generate a new Google API ID. No big deal, took less than two minutes, and like I said, may not even happen to you.

    Let me say, I wanted it to work. I wanted it to work so much, that I invested 12 hours into 6 separate tests, all returning one or more errors.

  • It's broken on both Catalyst and the new Elegantbiz themes. I'm told it works on Optimize Press, which I'll try next, but I can see that their beta/review commitment was pretty questionable.

    I think that the concept is cool but...

    What's the big difference from setting up a squeeze page collecting leads which you then direct to your Hangout from this plugin?

    I can setup my AWeber list the same way with a reminder at 24 and 2 hours before the hangout takes place.

    I recon that a few parts are automated but overall, it's a iframed hangout combined with a squeeze page.

    I send a support ticke to the guys asking about the 10 people limit to actively join the hangout and the fact that it will be posted to Youtube on autopilot where everybody is able to assist it.

    You have to manually change those parts as usual.

    • Yes, like you said you can set up the squeeze page on your site, and then once you start the broadcasting in the Hangout just grab the embed code, paste it in to your page or post, and voila- you are live streaming. But there are some 'quirks'...

      Two things this plugin should resolve: (once the bugs are fixed)

      1.) You have to actually begin the broadcast, and then go paste the code into your site before you start your actual presentation. So anyone watching the live stream on YouTube, or later on the the recording, is going to have to sit through you pasting that code in to your site. The plugin creates the embed code and does the embedding before the broadcast begins.

      2.) There are very few solutions for allowing your non-Hangout 'presenters', we'll just call them 'webby attendees' to have a 'webinar like experience,' meaning they can have a 'chat', where they can discuss with each other and you, in 'real time.' This plugin comes with a built in chat feature that connects your site to the Hangout, so that those viewing the video on your site. I understand there to be a couple of ways to get a real time chat stream, both free and paid, but I've only just discovered them and haven't been able to try them yet.

      And those really are the benefits of the plugin, once the bugs are fixed.

      If you saw in the comments on my review, Walt himself (the creator) did apologize and say that he and his team would resolve the bugs.

      I am looking forward to that.

    thank you for that review, I don't know if allowed but if yes you maybe post the link here.

    It's a pretty straight forward review and I thank you for your honesty.

    As you mentioned, the concept is great and I searched here for a similar product where I found one which cost 97 bucks - ouch.

    When I read the sales page I somehow doubt that the idea really works as I bet that Google doesn't like the idea about how this plugin will use their platform.

    There is a guy in the War Room which offers a valuable free access to his great platform which let you run pre-recorded webinars. Can't remember the name, try to search for it.

    If you record a Hangout you can download the video from your Youtube Channel and then do basically the same what the plugin offers (remembered this after checking out the plugin).

  • You do know google has launched the broadcastable hangouts for free, right? no plug in necessary?

      What this plugin is planned for is that you can use the Hangouts at your own domain as a Webinar tool similar to GoToMeeting.

      Just without the price tag.

  • Hi Walter,
    Must admit I bought your product yesterday and not received it yet.After reading this thread I realised that there were a couple of issues.
    1)The volume of sales your getting
    2)Some minor bugs
    I can say that I cant wait to try out the product.I believe if its good as Prpowershot Pro I can wait but not much longer....
    I going to thank you in a advance for putting out another great product

  • Here's my question about this.

    I really like the concept of using Google Hangouts as a webinar tool, and I've finally gotten it set up and can record a webinar. The thing is, I want to have one person who's on the webinar be a co-host, and record from after we do a little bit of "housekeeping".

    I don't care so much about the webinars not being live, actually I like it better that they are uploaded to YouTube.

    So, how does your plugin address these two things?

      Easy done
      simply add them in (top option on the left)
      so they join your hangout -
      You mark is as going to BE a live presentation when you start it
      make sure yourself and your guest are all settled in...
      And ready to go
      at that point - you click the button at the top (red) To begin broadcasting.
      Up until that point it is just the two of you.
      Once the red button is hit - you have a live event that others will see - and will go to youtube from there.
      I hope that helps.

    • One thing that confuses me.. and maybe someone who has set up a sucessful hangout can give me some advice..

      I've tried to set up a live hangout without a registration page.. however all i have is a blank page.

      I read that you need to add the short code ... I've read that you should add the youtube embed link and I've read that it should be added automatically.

      I've been through all the videos twice and can't see where this is talked about.

  • How customizable are the signup pages for this? Do they work within a theme (just content added to the post section)? or do they over right the entire them as a whole splash page?

    Is it possible to integrate with an autoresponder?

      Yes - autoresponders are integrated.
      At the moment it is Aweber and Getresponse, and within a few days
      it will be infusionsoft, mailchimp, sendreach, imnicamail, arpreach and a few others too.

      The registration pages have a couple of options - either the full image splash or a wysiwyg editor.

  • I don't want to throw a wrench in the pile here but it's been over a month now and we still have not been able to get one hangout going. There are several people who are in our Facebook group who are experiencing the same thing. We've added the plugin to another domain with another theme. We've given ftp and wp access to their support team who actually came back several times and have said it was working yet they did not test it. If they had tested it, it would have been in my youtube account. I think the idea is great but waiting a month to find it still not working is unacceptable.
