Must be having some licensing issues, I've been playing email tag for the past 24 hours with support trying to get the plugin in activated and they don't seem to be able to do it automatically or manually (hostgator and wiredtree). Was looking for a temporary replacement for the Galert plugin. BTW when you try and exit the page there's a $10 discount (OTO to)

Facebook and Blogger. Have no idea if the plugin works or not, sent my WP login to support and haven't heard back in 24 hours. 48 hours and counting and still no access, and I don't believe there's going to be support over the weekend

Going on 72 hours and haven't received a valid activation key yet. If support works on weekends it must be VERY sporadically.

I purchased on Thursday and still cannot activate the plugin. support seems to have gone AWOL for the weekend. "Bankers hours" I guess. Let's see launch the product on Thursday, and take the weekend off. The support seems spotty at best right now, kinda makes you wonder how long they plan to update/support it after the excitement dies down

We have a remote update function installed within Content Gorilla purely to address any bugs that are found so when we publish an update you can do it directly from your wordpress admin panel.

I am affiliator with an office in Makuhari Techno Garden (near Tokyo). I lived in New Jersey for 8 years, but have been working in Japan for more than 10 years.

I was quite shocked to read about the product launch of Content Gorilla, because it was full of functions that I had been looking for. I was not sure if it can handle Japanese language keywords, but jumped in and bought one for US$27 on September 14.

Here is my product review:

[Speed]
It is a very big plugin, so it makes the WordPress very slow. In my case the time for a new page to appear got more than doubled (to about five seconds after clicking.)

[Main Settings]
1. Every time I press "Convert all keywords to Extract" button, quotation marks (" ") are added. If you press the button 3 times for some reasons, you will see """keyword""".

2. Post Every [ ] Days/Hours. If you set it to "Hours" it is reset to "Days" when Sigle/Multi or "Convert.." buttons are pressed. If you press "Update Campaign" button, it mostly works.

[Campaigns]
Only five campaigns are listed (from old to new) in a page. If you have six campaigns, you must see the first page and then click the second page button. It takes five to six seconds for a page to appear after pressing the button. So, every time you edit a campaign and want to see how it is indicated in the Campaigns-list, you must click five or six times (25 to 30 seconds) and it's quite frustrating.

[Amazon]
The product can not only handle 37 languages but also can handle multiple country Amazon affiliate systems. Excellent! I tried Amazon.co.jp and my Amazon Japan ID was correctly put in posts that the plugin created. However, when I used Japanese language keywords, it created no posts. Translation of articles from English to Japanese did not work at all.

[Viral Content Log]
The log shows only 100 records or so. If you have 10 campaigns set to act every 2 hours, you can see records for the last 5 hours only. If a campaign fails to execute, it retries 3 times. Once a campaign fails to act for some reason it seems that the campaign is disabled, but the disabled campaign keeps getting executed three times at a two hour interval as scheduled. So the log gets choked by error messages quickly.

Most of the error messages looked like this:
"No active keywords or feeds for this campaign, possibly because they were disabled due to repeated errors. Check the status and reenable them on the campaign detail page. (Retry 3)"

However, nothing is written on the campaign detail page about the status (whether a campaign is disabled or not) or "how to reenable them".

[Does auto-posting really work?]

I set up 10 campaigns ranging from easy ones (example: "Amazon" artiles containing "marketing" as the keyword) to difficult ones (example: Japanese keywords) for execution every two hours and waited overnight to see the result.

Seven of my ten campaigns were "disabled" due to repeated errors (see above) and created three error messages every two hours. The easiest one ("marketing" on Amazon) created only one new post overnight, because of "skipping post to prevent duplicate content" according to the error message. There are a good number of Amazon articles having "marketing" as a keyword, but it could create only one post and skipped creating posts the next time to prevent duplicate content.

Anyway, I could find only two new posts created (although I had 10 campaigns set up) during the last 10 hours.

Auto-posting might work well if you were familiar with all the detailed rules about how to handle it. (It must have worked for Chris and Andrew.) Until I become an expert user of Content Gorilla I would have to spend may frustrating days.

[Conclusion]
The idea is exellent. However, I could not see even a quarter of what they said it does. There are good plugins and scripts for most of the functions that Content Gorilla tires to sell for, so I will go back to individual scripts. I never intend to say that it is a scam, because for Expert users knowing all the detailed rules about handling Content Gorilla, the product could be quite useful.[/QUOTE]

In the option panel if you scroll down to Flickr, there is a little ? beside the api key field.

if you click it you can get your api key from flickr.

This is so we can display related images in your article.

If you want you can go to module templates, scroll down to the article one and remove the tag for the flickr image.

OK I'm still waiting for a reply to my support requests. I bought all three products here (main plus 2 upsells) and cannot access the upsells at all. I'm wondering if I can be bothered to waste my time trying to get this to work when nobody seems to know jack about what is going on.

Why can't people test their stuff properly before releasing it?

Yep...it's some sort of relaunch under a different name as I also purchased the very similar VCM on FSO back in February. The same thread you were ignored on, Point2. VCM is basically a cut down copy of WP Robot and when we purchased VCM we were promised lifetime updates and additions to the plugin.

I hope whatever they have added to content gorilla has been added to VCM! To be honest, I have used this some but not too much...mostly for autoposting YouTube vids.

I was not impressed with the theme that was sold on VCM OTO and I believe it is nothing more than a very slightly modified version of Handoko Tantra's GoSense theme. It's a a rather oldish design and I could not get it to do what I needed it to do. I did not bother wasting more time on it trying to deal with support on the theme. I don't know what theme they are offering as an OTO for CG.

For sure I always hate to see the same or very similar product relaunched by the same people with a different name just 6 or 7 months later.

I don't think WP Robot has changed it's name lately and it has fairly extensive documentation.

absolute scam & rip off - plugin doesn't work - wasn't able to save any campaigns - opened a claim with paypal and was refused a refund - the small claims court and trading standards here i come!!!!

Agreed! Turns me off to the marketer(s), the developer(s) and the promoters. IMO it's as close to ripoff tactic as you can get!

As far as a refund goes try contacting them through support first. If they don't reply then you can file a dispute --> but paypal often times does not refund non-tangible goods.

I am not advising you to do this but take a look at post $47 & #61 on this thread to see how they got their refund. You can also try PMing one of marketers that has posted on this thread.

You can also try contacting them through their paypal receiving email address. If you do contact paypal via phone or the dispute process do make sure you refer their money back guarantee and link any other pages that you think might be helpful.

If it's sold through JVZoo you can try contacting them as well. If you paid via a credit card them you may have recourse via the credit card.

These guys say they use it on their sites and since they launched Viral Content magician back in Feb (and for the most part it's the same thing as Content Gorilla) you would think it has been tested extensively.

As far as Content Curation goes several of the tools I have purchased work fairly well.

PageOne Curator by Paul Clifford and Curation Soft by Peter Lenkefi work rather nicely for mixed content sources. Both of these are pretty cool tools.

Hugh Hitchcock has a whole stable of curation tools that work. I own his Viral Video Curator, his Viral Image Curator, and his Instant Content Creator Pro. Viral Video Curator is a very nice tool that you can schedule both blog and Facebook posts with. He also has an all-in-one tool called ICC Express but that is only available via a rather pricey membership at this time.

ProfitMarketer has a decent tool called Instant Curator that you can do a ton of stuff with. Advanced users can do a lot with this one but basic users may not like it as well.

Peter Garety has a pretty cool tool called RSS Magnet that can do some cool things.

It's been around a while but Curation Fire by James Carter can do some things but I understand he is no longer developing the tool, but he is still supporting it.

One of my new favorites is Buzz Burner (by Plugin Dynamo) as it has a ton of pro curation features... I have not yet had a chance to test everything out on this one...but it is a serious tool for serious curators, no doubt.

So why do I have so many different curation tools? They all do things a little bit differently.

As I have mentioned before I also own the almost clone of Content Gorilla called Viral Content Magician --> but both CG and VCM are basically stripped down clones of WP Robot which thousands of peeps have been using for several years. WP Robot has a ton more modules, quite a bit of documentation, and a support forum with thousands of posts. CG has far less modules than WP Robot does. I understand the developers have tried to beef up CG with some posting to other entities but I have no idea how well those features work.

Content Gorilla is basically a copy of the previously released Viral Content Magician (+ a couple of features) which is basically a very stripped down clone of WP Robot.
