Anyone used Wave Audit System?

Okay... I decide to give it a try. I just purchased Wave Audit but can't seem to get into my account to9 download the product. Filed a support ticket.

Another question, if you don't mind... You said they should provide more training. I'm curious if the training you are looking for is for setting up the software, using the software... or possibly marketing and providing the service?

I have been waiting on an email from Derby for a day or so now. When I hear from him, I may want to revise this but between now and then....

I have only used the software to audit a business. I have NOT yet used it to register any accounts.

Comments:

2) The sales videos and ad copy used by some of the affiliates make it sound like this tool interfaces to "100's" of citation cites. So far, I can only find 50. I have inquired about this.

3) The sales material makes it sound like you can tailor the reports... So far, i can't find that functionality. I have inquired about that.

4) The OTO included a tool to audit social media sites. So far, I cannot get that tool to work. I have inquired about this too.

5) The OTO includes a lot of sales material which lacks a lot with respect to grammar, spelling, etc... It is very useful for inspiration but you will have to edit it aggressively to make it useable.

6) The ad copy all makes the citation account creation process sound as if it is automatic. From the instructions... it seems that the process has some manual requirements with automation supporting the process. I suspect it works well enough... just not a single fire and forget push button process.

There is a 30 day guarantee so i am not particularly concerned about these issues. Some are likely me... and the others are likely due to product maturity and will be fixed.

More when i have it....

It is advertised to work in those countries. I have not tested it. There were users from those countries in the user group who were getting started, the last time I looked.

There is a single use version (don't ask me what that means I could not figure it out) and an unlimited use version (I purchased that one) and an OTO.... a social media site scanner/auditer.

Joan. I have little practical experience with this type of data/citation sites.... but, the reports seem pretty basic to me. The tool returns, for each citation cite, .... Business Name, Address, Phone, Special Offer (whether or not it stands out) and Status (found or not).

I purchased the product and have thoroughly tested it. As a result, I have asked for a refund. Here are my unvarnished thoughts.

First... the Pro's

1) The developers seem like good guys and I think they are going to work to correct the issues I have problems with.
2) When you compare this product to it's way more expensive competitors it might be a good deal despite it's lack of features.
3) Simple and easy to use.
4) If you are interested in this business model... the $27 basic product is probably a great idea just to get access to the training videos scripts, forms, marketing materials, etc.... which are basic but very illuminating.

Now, the cons...

1) You can't save a project so you are continually rerunning scans.
2) There are still some gremlins in the code (different users experiencing varying success)
3) You can't personalize the reports or save them in an editable form.
4) The OTO (a social scan tool) does not work for me and many other users. Some report success.
5) The marketing material, scripts, etc... from number 3 in the Pro list above are rife with grammatical and spelling errors. Will require significant editing.
6) Creating citations for each platform (business review site) is not automatic. It does have some automated support or user aides.
7) It only supports 50 citation/review sites... even thought eh ad copy seems to indicate 100's.
8) The support group is based on Google +... was my first experience with it and I found it miserable and difficult to use and near impossible to find specific discussions/topics.

There are surely things that could be added to both lists.

Here is my recommendation and it may surprise you.

If you are interested in this business model and have little experience, I would purchase the basic product (avoid the OTO unless its fixed) just for the training and marketing materials and to the user group. They all seem like a great place to start.

Next, I would bite the bullet and invest in Places Scout...even at $183.00 per quarter.... It seems to me that you are either going to do real well, in which case the 183 is an easy investment, OR you will fail miserably because of inaction and you can limit your exposure the initial 183 for the first quarter.

Just my 2 cents...

Yep, they have never answered a single support ticket, the thing is basically shut down yet they continue to sell. That should say something.
