We've been putting all the lawn furniture away, locking down the hot tub, etc.... And there is a big tree in the back yard that makes me nervous.

There is a group in the Houston area that gets together from time to time. I've been unable to make any of the meets, so far. Once, one of my boys sprained his ankle and the other time, I was in a rehearsal for a Christmas show.

Since most people work (which I completely understand) let's all meet June 10th at 6:00pm at Stags. Stags seems like a familiar location and having Wifi is a great idea since we all work on our computers.

Ok, Let's stick with the date, location, and time, mentioned above. Those who work should be able to meet us after they get off. And those who don't workshould be flexible enough to make it, with the advanced notice.

I just came from our second meeting and have to say that it was awesome. It was a great experience to put faces to log-in names. Also, each of us were able to absorb the many ideas and resources given by other members, which as a great experience.

In an effort to stabilize our group in a way that encourages expansion, I'd be willing to take on the roll of Houston Area Facilitator. (Any objections, say... "I" :-)

What I bring to the table:

2.) A Definite Plan.

5.) A very rare niche which will almost certainly not compete with any of yours'.

The only way I've seen these happen in the past (I attended 3 or 4 of them this past year here) is that someone took the reigns and selected a time and place and people showed up or they didn't.

If you wait to coordinate with everyone's schedule, it will never happen, as you can see over the course of this thread.

The previous events I attended were all held on Saturday's at noon at Stag's Head Pub in Houston. It has Wi-Fi, decent food, plenty of parking and seating and was a pretty central location to all sides of Houston.

Well, I am near Humble (NE Houston) and would love to join/setup a meetup anywhere in the Houston Area (even up to The Woodlands).

It's been nearly 2 years since I signed up on the forum and still haven't seen much grow in terms of a meetup in Houston.

I want to get something going. If it was to be a once a month type meetup, would a Tuesday or Thursday morning or evening work better for any of you who would be interested in attending?

Just about everybody discussing this has figured out that it's easier to herd cats than set up a meetup in Houston.

Most of the people discussing in this thread are post<50 so PM is near impossible. (by the time we get together your count might be up there even if you just post here.

Anybody interested, sent me a skype request with "warriorgroup" in the contact request. If and when I get to 2 of you, I'll set up a group chat, and it will become like a chat room where all can keep up whether they are on or offline.

My computer is on 24/7 and the skype is usually showing active whether or not I'm near it or in the building. For those not familiar with skype, you don't need a headset unless you want to talk. I have one but it's not always handy and I prefer texting anyhow.
