Hi Susan...

I'm actually about 1:45 from Denver, in the mountains N. of Loveland. Snow and Bronco games are the only time I won't be able to make it...Other than that, I'm open to times and days.

This is pretty much for a face to face meeting. Sorry about that.

But if you want to Ning, you really don't have to limit yourself to the Rocky Mountain area...As a matter of fact, why don't you start your own thread for people that live in low-population areas to meet "online", such a Ning?

That sounds perfect...Count me in. The only reason I won't make it will be if there's heavy snow...Getting up/down the canyon in snow is too much of a hassle.

Hi Susan...

We don't need the Net...I was just asking, I'll leave my laptop at home.

We can discuss net access, etc at the first meeting. I think the most important thing is just to get it going and not worry about every detail when we're just starting out.

Let's keep it simple the first time and just meet at your conference room...

Hi,

I'm in Westminster and would be interested in attending MM groups. I've been dabbling in making money online for a couple years, but want to go to the "next level". I currently work during the day (this job is my primary reason to want to make more money online!!!) from 7-4 or so, M-F.

Please include me in future planning if possible or let me know if there's an alternate way you all are communicating. The group I was in previously in another state used Meetup to organize stuff -- maybe that's an idea for us?

I can help start to get things organized. We need to figure out where a good spot it. There is a Panera with a community room in Westminster and another in downtown Denver by Capitol Hill.

Probably once a month on a Thursday? Not sure how many full timers are on here, so likely in the evening maybe 5-6, but let me check on the hours.

If there are any specific goals that people would like to get out of this, we can start there.

I'm way down in Highlands Ranch so I would prefer something further south than Westminster.

A more central location just off I-25 would be great. Also, 5-6 is the middle of rush hour. Would you consider 6-7?

However, we do need to keep in mind the rush hours during the week and try to avoid those if at all possible. Unfortunately, many, like myself, are still slaving for The Man during the day and have to work around his schedule until the mastermindness kicks-in and skyrockets our income!

Perhaps Denver is simply too large for a single MM group. Maybe make a "north" group and a "south" group since there seem to be quite a few in the Broomfield/Westminster/Boulder area, and then also a large number down south in Highlands Ranch/etc..

IMO, if a MM is too large, it loses its value because there's just too many people talking and whatnot. Having the groups at 8 or 10 people if we did split north and south might actually be beneficial. It also helps to really get to know the other members when it's not 300 like some of the meetup groups.

IM Dogs is forming a new MeetUp group in Denver.

The first meeting will be on Saturday March 26 from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M

The location for this meeting is at College America - 1385 South Colorado Boulevard, Suite #500 - Denver, CO 80222.

I've attended the IM Dogs MeetUp in Fort Collins and they have formed a mastermind group which meets after the IM Dogs meeting. That could be something worth exploring in Denver.

Yes, good point.
Let me check on the Panera hours, I'm headed there for a event in the afternoon, so I'll check on the details. We could also swap out. One group I belong to does a meeting every month switching between Boulder and Denver.

If you have any other suggestions for a place. There's a Perkins off of I-25 and Colorado, but no wi-fi, whereas Panera does.

Since i can't be involved with the organization, i'll let everyone figure out the details, but after organizing these types of groups for real estate in the past (with CAREI), i'd suggest a Saturday morning.

Central is the best idea. Restuarants generally don't work well unless you can get a seperate room. Hotel breakfast areas seem to work well as long as there is a seperate room.

One last thing, if everyone is just looking for a small mastermind type meeting (under 10 people), that is fine. But if anyone one person is interested in making this a business, let me know. There is a big need for an ongoing internet group that would meet 1-2 times per month. I think you could have 50-100 people at each meeting, each paying $30 or annual dues. Speakers from around the country come in and speak (and commissions are split from product sales). Its a business model similar to carei.com (real estate). I know the business model well but don't have the time to put it together. This would be pretty profitbable for someone.

I see a ton of merrit on this proposal. I moved here from the Dallas area and was a member of the DFWSEM. Dues were $75 a year. We were able to attract some good speakers and presentations.

Meetings were once a month at 7:00 PM. I currently run a membership site and have had some good results in organizing people. (you can see me WSO under solderite) I have sent Byron a PM. If I see some interest after this post I will get a Poll page up to start collecting data of days time, and goals.

The feedback of this thread will dictate my actions. Let me know your thoughts.

The perkins off of I-25 and colorado has a small room in the back, but really limits at about 15 people. Would seem more central. Looking at previous posts, I see people from Wyoming down through C. Springs.
Other option is Library which could hold closer to 50 people depending upon size.

Based upon the number of viewers in this thread I think we're around 10-30 people.

Looks like I missed the meeting on the 14th... all because I didn't search for "Denver Warriors Group" soon enough.

Now that I know about this thread, I'll keep an eye on it.

I too, am interested in meeting to mastermind with others. From what I can tell, everyone is spread out all over the metro area/front range. Maybe a "rotating" meeting place is the way to go. Meet one month in Westminster, the next in west Denver, the next in Highlands Ranch, the next in C Springs, the next in Loveland and so on (sorry if I've left any place out, these are just examples).

Just my 2 cents worth.

OMG, the meeting was great. We had over 100 people there and the energy and enthusiasm was huge. Although the group was large, there were several breakout networking sessions and a lot of ideas shared amongst top marketers.

It was a lot of work to put this together so I'm not sure when the next one will be (probably next February or March) but you can opt in at the website to get notifications of future meetings in Denver. OnlineMarketersGroup dot c om

Sounds like I missed a good one...oh well, I learned a long time ago to not cry over spilled milk.

I've already subscribed to your newsletter and am looking forward to the next get-together. Sounds like this one was both informative and productive.

If anyone else is interested, I'm still seriously looking at starting a "mastermind" group to meet around the area. Let me know if you are at all interested and we'll get it put together.

  If we wait around for all others to get it going, it may not work. Looks to me like that's really whats happened so far on this thread.
  
  I'm game to start meeting and masterminding right away. What days and times are good for you. Also, what part of town are you in, or what would be a convenient area for you?
  
  I do this full time from home, so I'm fairly flexible and can travel if that would help. I'm on the east side, in Aurora right now.
  
  Maybe we should PM the others on this thread and start working out the details. Even if it's just a few of us, we should get started and move forward. I'm sure others will come along if there is just a little momentum.

  Hey diro, just found you guys. Moved here about 4 weeks ago and would love to set up a regular and real mastermind. How does wednesdays work? We could meet for lunch around 12. I'm in cherry creek. Theres a place here called the Cherry Creek Grill and it would be perfect for a small group (6 or fewer).

I live in Loveland, CO, with a 5 minute drive to Fort Collins, CO.

I am certainly interested in the "mastermind" group meetings. But, being a little bit more of a small-group kind of guy, I'd also be interested in meeting up on on a smaller level, as well.

A little about me...

I am owner and operator of a small computer repair and IT consulting business that I started about 8 years ago. I have been involved in IM and MMO for about 3 years (off and on) with a moderate level of success. More recently (past 6 months), I have become more focused on creating passive Internet income.

Anyone down for lunch or coffee?

this would be a fantastic thing for me. i am currently a student at the school of mines in golden just outside of denver. i am looking for someone (some people) to hold me accountable more than anything.

i have a real problem balancing school and fun and starting up an IM business. i have been involved for some time, over a year, but haven't seen a lot of success due to the lack of implementation and action. but i have good ideas and know a few good business models. i would be interested in finding someone to network with as well as just keep each other accountable on our goals. pm me if your interested or if this group is functioning at this point.

I'm back in Colorado, (Estes Park) and willing to meet anywhere from Denver to Ft. Collins...With Loveland probaby being the best.

Sorry about my absence from this thread. Lots of reasons for this, far too many to go into here.

I am definitely interested in getting a Mastermind going. Am currently in east Denver (near DIA) but am willing to travel all along the front range.

Hope to get something going soon and having a meetup with several of the Front Range marketers in the area.
