Hello warriors. What is the best formula for creating a recurring monthly income of $10,000 to $15,000. Kindly share what is working now.

Share what you have experience with as opposed to what somebody told you is working. Thank you, and God bless.

  • You want to work with affiliate programs that pay you recurring commissions. If you just promote affiliate programs that pay you ONCE, you are bound to fail online.

You can also choose to work with network marketing programs online. This will not only help you earn residual income, but an income from the efforts of your team.

If you choose not to work with network marketing programs, you can go to Clickbank and find many good and solid programs that can bank you recurring commissions.

    • This is only the case with people who don't know how to drive consistent traffic and don't have a monetization process in place - or who just don't know what they're doing.

If you have an endless supply of traffic and the offers you promote are evergreen, you won't fail.

One of the niches I'm in that I've built an entire business around and am making the most money I've ever made since coming online in 2005 has no revenue that comes from selling recurring products whatsoever and the business is far from "bound to fail."

I get the point you were trying to make, but you can build a very profitable, scalable, and predictable business without having continuity a part of the model.

The benefits to having that kind of business are amazing though. Just finished reading "The Automatic Customer" from John Warrillow, so definitely want to figure out a way to incorporate it in one of my companies.
      • [ 4 ] Thanks
    • Yeah, I do not necessarily agree with this. There may be some Truth in it with some cases, but if you really have a consistent way of maintaining fresh traffic to your Sales Funnel you can definitely make it by offering multiple Products that do in fact just pay once.

      - Robert Andrew
    • Can you be specific? Your answer is vague.
  • Easiest way is build your own paid newsletter in a niche. If going the affiliate route just search recurring revenue affiliate products and im sure you will find a bunch. I know clickbank has a few.

  • Here's my experience . . .

It's not the "formula" (as you call it) that makes a business profitable. It's the owner that makes the sale, and ultimately the profit, in any business.

Yes, it's important to have a good business model and to be in a niche where there is money to be made, but if it was as easy as just following a "formula" in order to have success the numbers of profitable businesses online would be way, way higher than they are.

The key point is that you understand how to make sales and that will depend upon the business owner's skill, persistence, selling ability, relationship building, and other personal traits that are not found in a formula.

I hope you have great business success,

    Steve

    • I tend to agree with the thoughts of Steve B above, however, I think you are right to have a focus on recurring products. The idea of doing the work once and be rewarded over and over again is a very sensible approach.

If you go to Clickbank or Jvzoo, you will see that you can specify recurring products to search for and promote. I know because I have one of my own there . I won't mention myproduct here as I don't want to highjack what is a thread with a very good theme, but if you want a little more info about it, by all means drop me a PM.

In summary I would say continuity or membership products equate to a certain amount of security of income as well as the most efficient and effective use of your marketing time...and you can find a whole bunch of them on Clickbank or Jvzoo, some of which I'm sure will match the niche or area you are focusing on.

    • I would also like to say that The Beginners Friend has helped me a lot. If you get the chance get on his email list.

The thing is you need to know sales & how to put it all together I get that, so her it goes.

      ads= time to sell
      website= time to sell
      email= time to sell

mind you I'm not saying your selling a product as much as I saying your selling yourself, your brand.

all the while trying to build a good relationship with you prospects so that that do buy & try to find products that do recur. There out their.
    • This is exactly why most people fail online. Most people do not have these skills, or even want to learn them. But what if you didn't need any of these things to make money online? Then "most people's" success rate would skyrocket. I currently use a business model (the "1 Hour" link in my sig) where none of the above is needed and therefore everyone who works the model makes money. This just happens to be one that's working for me right now. However; the best formula is the one that works for you and agrees with your personality.
  • Find something that is needed or sells over and over again, like traffic, or online advertising, etc. Then create a site based on that or promote a similar site as an affiliate and make bigger recurring commissions as you scale up. That's what I currently do.

    • Membership Sites! I can't say it enough!

I currently run 5 different membership sites in 4 different niches. 2 of which (besides the occasional support email) I haven't touched in over a year and still bring in hundreds every single day.

If you want recurring income and you are going the info product or affiliate route go with membership sites

  • Hi,

    1. Pick a niche that has HUGE potential to set up a recurring system around

    2. Find out what are the BIGGEST questions/wants/needs & desires are
within this niche that people are looking for answers to

    3. Create that solution

    4. Go and tell your audience about your solution

    5. Get them onto your lists first

    6. You can pick out parts of your solution/content etc and use that as
BAIT to get these people onto your lists

    7. Then offer them your COMPLETE solution

    8. Then ask them to PAY you for that solution/answers/training etc

    9. In the form of a recurring payment system

    10. You can attract as many members etc into your membership
program and build a real following

    11. Improve your sales funnel

    12. Increase your conversions

    13. Increase the longevity of your program - So on average how long do your
members stay on as paying members.

    14. Ask yourself - What do I need to charge my members for this service
and how many members do I require each month to reach my income
    target GOAL?

Now focus all your efforts on improving those things, getting more leads,
clients and subscribers too until you have a clear picture of how much
you can afford to pay for traffic to get more members into your program.

TRACK every click, conversion, where your traffic came from.

What country they came from and so on too.

All in all if your niche is BIG enough and has enough potential BUYERS
in it you should be able to come with many ideas for creating a recurring
business that will keep on paying you many months/years after the
original hard work has been applied.
    • [ 11 ] Thanks
  • Create or buy Adsense Micro Niche website and make use of the traffic of the niche to place ads on it. Try to attract relevant traffic to the website or buy a Adsense micro niche and earn extra income monthly.

    • Network marketing could get you there...also higher end consulting services and business to business systems.
      • [1] reply
  • You can create an income like that if you have the experience and know how. But I don't think that there is (1) specific method for everyone.

Some posters above said that promoting reoccurring affiliate products or network marketing products can be the way.

But even by using those types of products, how long will a person 'keep' paying for a product?

    1 to 6 months?

So yes 'reoccurring' commissions can be made but you will have to 'keep' dumping money back into your marketing budget to keep the sales rolling in.
    • [2] replies
    • Shouldn't that be happening regardless of what kind of products you promote or sell, even if you don't sell anything but generate revenue as a publisher?
    • It's called investing in your business. Investing that brings you more money than the money invested is good, makes the world go round.

    • Find a good Niche
    • Sell good quality Affiliate Products for that Niche
    • meanwhile build your own list along with building your experience.
    • Develop your own product
    • also put your product to affiliate network
    • while other affiliates selling your book you can also sell it yourself with your own internet marketing experience & own list
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Find a good niche, built your website for your niche, build a mailing list, that way you gather your customer base up, then send them your affiliate product in an email. This method has helped me make a lot of money. I am currently using Hybrid Connect
to easily build your list and attract buyers to your product or affiliate.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Email marketing is working well for me right now...but in an area (niche) in which I am passionate about, where people spend money and it has lots of offers. The system is simple but the catch is to build relationships. Lots of people have been scammed and can smell a scammer miles off. Be genuine.
  • [DELETED]
  • The best way to develop recurring income is not to find affiliate programs that offer recurring commissions. I'm not saying you should not promote these kind of programs but the best way is to build your own membership site or service that brings in recurring income as monthly membership dues.

Then you get what I call partner traffic to promote your recurring membership or service for you. This means that you get affiliates and jv partners to promote your site.

Instead of looking for affiliate products with recurring income, affiliates will be looking for you for the recurring income. By doing business this way you will be growing your business exponentially. For every affiliate or jv partner you can get to promote your recurring income site will expose your site to ever increasing circles of influence.

This is the best way to make recurring income because you make income from every sale and every rebilling.

    Best regards,
    Steve Yakim
  • Use an affiliate program that pays really well, records every sale of yours. Generate more clicks by writing articles related to the product/service you are promoting. In my case, I was able to make around $1800 in some 15 - 18 days. It mostly came from my blog article and a guest post that I wrote on a blog. Which again links back to my blog post

So go for it, build a niche blog and work your way up.
  • Best formula?

    1) Find market with problem

    2) Create/get solution

    3) Get traffic

    4) Lead to squeeze page

    5) Pitch offer to them via email newsletter

    6) Offer more products to paying customers

    7) Repeat

    *Optional*

    8) Create tons of content to help boost conversion rates
  • There are a ton of ways to make recurring income like that - especially online.

I know a few people who've done those numbers and even more in a few industries. Here are some suggestions:

    1. Learn a marketing channel really well and sell it as a service to business owners. Charge $1,000-$5,000 a month to businesses for the service.

To me this is kind of difficult, but different strokes for different folks. Remember you'll probably have monthly maintenance and may get a real dick of a client that pays the majority of your bills. So that can be rough. But the potential is for sure there.

    2. Create your own membership site

This is a difficult one in a lot of aspects. First off, you better be a pro at something. You need to make sure you are updating content all the time in it. Plus the marketing of the memberships. This is probably the toughest route for any person just getting started with creating residual income.

    3. Start an MLM - a network marketing business

Out of all the rich people I know, most of them have been in mlm. I have a lot of friends in the $15k-40k a month range in multilevel marketing. I've been full time before in mlm myself long ago (just recently got back involved).

MLM takes a while to build, but once the ball is rolling it is like a dream. People popping up as customers or distributors in your downline without you ever talking to them. (There was 4 that got added to my downline without any effort on my part just the other day).

However, mlm is not get rich quick and will take time, resilience and work to get the ball rolling. If you don't have a lot of leadership skills or the willingness to learn, and if you hate talking to people, this is probably not a good recommendation for you.

(By talking to people I mean if you hate people in general. I just generated 50 leads for instance the other day of people who actively want to speak to me about my business, so yes you can build a mlm online without having to chase people.)

    Hope this helps!

  • Having your own membership site and/or doing MLM will both bring in recurring income if you know what you're doing.
  • built your brand , get the list & work in an evergreen niche
  • A list would be a great place to start, you can getting reoccuring income from the same people over and over and over again.

The other way would be to find a program that pays reoccuring commissions
  • Membership site obviously, that's the only way to build monthly recurring income and make people happy at the same time. Create your info products and make sure they are of the best quality, and sell them online.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks

    • Continuity comes in many forms...

If you have a continuous and reliable traffic source then you can create a residual income based on the fact that you have continuity of traffic.

If you have a good (buyers) subscriber list then you have continuity in that you can consistently make money from that list.

If you have your own membership site or promote a membership site as an affiliate then you can create a residual income. This is considered to be the optimal form of residual income but in reality, members will cancel quicker than you expect so you will still need to pump more traffic into it.

You can't beat a residual income but in nearly all cases, there is a limit to the continuity of it. So I consider a good, responsive email list as having the longest life-span and therefore indirectly, the best form of residual income.
  • Membership sites selling information has been mentioned many times, but I don't see software being mentioned.

If you can build a great piece of software that solves a common problem that's a great way to make recurring income as most SASS products are priced monthly.
  • Personally and based on my years of failure and success in business, I would recommend offering as many solutions as possible as a type of membership solution. If I had known many, many years ago that you can offer literally anything via a membership site and so it successfully I would have taken that route much earlier.

Probably was ignorant of the fact that you don't actually have to call it a 'membership.' These days it's called called "continuity" among other things. You live and learn.

Around 2004 I created a membership site for freelance professionals called http://TheIndependentContractor.com and while there was a demand for the information and services I lacked the business know-how to make it a profitable business.

Fast forward to the internet explosion era and even offering simple guides via a membership site has proven to be one of the best business moves we have made.

    What should/can you actually offer?

That's a question that someone interested in this method of business will have to look at seriously because (once again and as you requested) based on my experience of failure and success, blended with my life and work experience, I've had and have business systems that are driven by membership models in areas as diverse as business development, 'Offline Consulting' with very specific areas of focus.

For instance, we still offer good old fashioned email marketing content creation and management and tend to keep away from promoting any of the 'cooler' stuff such as Facebook services (which in our business experience failed to convert into a recurring service). We also provide life success coaching with a personal and professional focus. All via recurring models.

These are the items that work for us, however we are always looking outside of our core for other opportunities that could fit. Within each of these, the products and services we offer include our own uniques (75%) and those of people we trust and who trust us.

Took years to get here and I want to make sure no one views this as an overnight job, but could be a shorter journey for others.

    Hope this helps.

    Bayo

  • Yes, Adsense has definitely been a passive income for me. I haven't touched some of my Sites and have NOT even visited them in years, but they still earn

    - Robert Andrew
  • You want to join affiliate programs or companies that pay you recurring commissions there are many companies but you need to to find the best one for you ..
  • If you sell services/memberships (with recurring payments) is very easy
  • It took me just over a year of focused effort, but I finally found a "formula" that works for me, now generating just over $3,000/mo, most of it passive. I expect to at least double that this year. I know that's not your $10K - $15K target, but it'll get there eventually.

My process: I wrote several highly niched books (expert-level advice), put them on Amazon as ebooks, created a newsletter for sale, and now my books drive people to my newsletter continuously. I use Wordpress with the Optimizepress theme. I'm making revenue from my book sales, as well as continuous revenue from paid newsletter subscribers.

My marketing consists entirely of 1) Buffering out an occasional blog post, 2) trading services with partners to get fresh subscribers to the newsletter, 3) using Fiverr, and 4) asking for referrals. (I'm really lazy about marketing, and I know, based on what I'm seeing in this thread, that I'm leaving a ton of money on the table.) So, now that I've got my formula worked out, I'm looking for the best ways to scale up. Also I'm looking for another niche, so my eggs aren't all in one basket.

    • This is a wonderful thread! Thanks for all the input everybody. I'm just starting out as an online marketer through affiliates, automated traffic, and "shotgun approach" to niches (I have a structured plan, and trying to apply it to several niches at once). Your posts have been a valuable resource at rounding out my ideas as to what will work ) can't wait to join you all in the realm of passive, recurring income! Its exciting to hear that 10k / mo is an achievable reality.
  • An aspect that is often overlooked here is discipline, commit yourself to work X hours a day, doing research, creating content to generate sales, monitor results, make tweaks if necessary and you would be in the middle of the road already

  • Lots of good replies posted and here's my thoughts:

Network Marketing/Multi Level is a great vehicle for making residual money. Yet so many Companies start each year and are gone a few years later, really there are too many to count.

Make sure the Company has a product that will be bought on a regular basis, make sure the Company has been around for 7 years or longer, you don't want to build only to have the Company close and your income is gone.

I live in one of the most popular vacation areas in the US, Myrtle Beach SC.

For those who have never been here, it is unlike any other beach area.

From North Myrtle Beach south to Pawleys Island our population is a couple hundred thousand, yet we bring in over 15 Million Vacationers.

I publish the Ultimate Myrtle Beach Discount Card and sell it online as well as I Joint Venture/Affiliate Partner with others, the Card sells for $20 and the partner gets $10 from each Card sold, the partner collects the money, forwards me the receipt and I mail the Card to their customer and send the partner a confirmation that it is going out in the mail that day or the next. Now they send a confirmation to their customer. (I get paid at the end of each month from the partner)

I never contact the customer and each year, the partner sells the customer another Card.

If anyone is in the vacation business and wants to discuss Partnering, give me a call 842-293-8600.

MyrtleBeachBikeWeek.com is a Partner and so far this month they have sold 40 Cards,
that's a nice $400 in additional revenue for the month that they picked up just for having the Card on their website and making mention of it in the newsletter.

I also so some marketing for small businesses in the area and provide Credit Card Processing through First Data.

I believe in multi-streams of income.

    Stay well

    • Hi guys

I keep getting email from this forum but this thread caught my attention. It's time to join in the chat!

I have been a Web designer for more years than I care to remember and can knock out top quality wordpress sites, landing pages, sales copy pages etc in my sleep.

I had always been happy doing this. In my view, if you love what you do, it isn't work.

      THE PROBLEM:

The years have whizzed past and I'm approaching 40 with no retirement plan. As you can imagine, Web design is largely one-off payments with much, much smaller amounts in irregular 'recurring' income.

      SOLUTIONS?

I want to put my skills to some use whereby I can make a decent recurring income. I'm sure lots of folk have started off with less skills than me and they have my full respect.

I'm a late starter I know but it's better late than never, right? So what would you do if you were me?

I sincerely appreciate any help you can give me and will attempt to help anyone I can also.

      Many thanks for your time.

  • The best formula for creating recurring income is to find a product or service that are absolutly necessity.

If the product is in demand and people need it they will stick with it and you will continue to get paid.

If you continue to do this you will have plenty of recurring sales from customers .

You will continue to build your income month by month year after year.
  • There are great ideas in this discussion. The main principle is to serve people with something very helpful and needful. It is OK to charge a fee for your services, but it must be of high quality, something that your client would thank you for.
  • Having a website ranking for profitable keywords will bank you a recurring income for years. The more time you spend on your site, the more your income will be. No limits unless you go into a very narrow niche.
  • For me it's selling physical products on Amazon. Not easy and you need to invest in inventory etcetera but much more profitable then being an affiliate.

  • Build continuity into your business, like build a membership website charging members a monthly fee of $100+ or have multiple membership websites charging $37 to $57 per month.

Or create a high ticket coaching program, training course, or online workshop series of webinars and let your clients pay you for it over a six to 12 month period.

  • Find a profitable niche that people will be interested in. Then create a landing page with quality content and an opt-in form to subscribe to your list. Start with paid traffic such as adsense, facebook advertising and solo ads to get targeted quality traffic back to your site while slowly bulding your free traffic by commenting on blogs, posting on facebook groups, niche related forums, bulding backlinks and working on SEO, etc.

After you start gaining considerable subscriber's to your list, start using monetization techniques and cpa offers to convert the subscribers into buyers of your affiliate products. Its reccomended that your affiliate product has a recurring commision so you continue to get paid.

    • Just a side note here.

(Unless Amazon have changed their rules) they don't allow you to promote their products through links in emails.

Links have to come from an approved site.

So you would have to link out to your own webpage/blog where you have written a review for that product that then links to the Amazon site.
  • If you have the money for the start up, everything is easy.

Pay money to create a great product or service. Pay money to design a great website. Pay money to advertise, Pay money for customer support staff.

    You are good to go.

Or work your ass off like us and make small money or no money and be happy
  • Hosting plan can be lucrative recurring business, if you know how to market and leverage it.
  • Affiliate programs are a nice easy way to make an income without the work involved in creating your own products.

    1. Promote
    2. Build
    3. Rinse & Repeat

Keep on these 3 steps and you will gradually reach the point where you won't need to spend quite so much time on promoting.

Keep your affiliates in the loop and let them know you are there to help them if they need it. The worst thing you can have in an affiliate program is a non-responsive sponsor
  • Hello

To earn this figure you should have a mini facebook or you have to make some trustworthy website and then you can make affiliate sales through it .But it will take time
  • Haven't read every single post in this thread but describing (in one word) the best formula/metod/way of making a recurring, monthly income would be this:

    Paid membership websites.

It's probably the most trusted way of earning a monthly income. Now getting there is the hard part which requires so much more than just saying:

"I want to launch a paid membership website"

Also, don't rule out freemium membership sites, Facebook is the biggest example (though it's technically a social network).

I believe that if a membership site is possible in your chosen niche, market or industry then that's a goal you want to strive towards. But the road ahead is a long one, mind you.

    You need to:

    1. Establish some sort of authority in your market.
    2. Get a substantial amount of monthly visitors.
    3. Build a big email list.
    4. Gain the trust of people in your market.
    5. Create an elaborate blueprint of your business.
    6. Employ a decent marketing strategy.
    7. Save money and create a budget for the membership site (refunds, employees, moderators, outsourcing, etc.)
    8. Commit yourself to the site for several years to come.
    9. Have a genuine passion for what you do.
10 Treat your site like a real business that needs to be taken care of every single day for it's entire lifetime (forget about laying back and watching the money roll in, online marketing is hard work)

    All the best to you,

    Karl
  • The best formula for creating recurring income is to find a nich or service that are absolutely necessity and people need it continuously.

build your list from these prospects, and build good relation with them.

now sell them the product that solves their problem every time, andYou will continue to build your income
  • Good suggestions in this thread....my vote is to build a blog in an evergreen niche and start posting articles that help fix problems. Sign up for recurring affiliate programs that match your niche and weave them into your posts. Also offer a free report that gives tips on fixing the problem and then promote the same residual affiliate programs to your list. • This thread should be closed or better yet deleted.

I have never seen so many self-promotion posts with "pm me" or "see my signature" or very obvious "hints" to a signature.

Two and a half months and the OP has never replied or given a single thanks.

To me it is just sad to see that direct self promotion is tolerated now.

No offense to the members that posted well thought out comments to actually try and help the OP and not just to promote their links.
