Which is better, a mini site type landing page, a one page landing page leading to an offer or just going straight to a solid blog with your links...?

    Hi,

I usually see a mini site landing page type if you are promoting only one product (or similar product group) but a blog seems to work best if you are going to have multiple products and you want people to keep coming back b/c you have to continue to add content. Just my take based on what I have seen work well with others. GOOD LUCK!

How about a blog with pages set up as landing pages. That way
you potentially get the best of both worlds.

By creating a custom page for your template, and stripping out all
the template code, you can effectively have html landing pages
which can be dropped into your Wordpress blog as if they were
standard Wordpress pages (don't bother buying this as a plugin, it's
easy enough to do by yourself).

So you can have easily customizable sales pages, landing pages,
squeeze pages and anything else - integrated right into your WP
blog. So if you want to, you can send leads to a selling page while
building an authority site on the same domain - to keep the SEs
happy you can even put a couple of links from your sales page back
to articles on the blog, or other pages.

Can you provide a little more in depth what you are saying here phil?

Do you mean the blog set up on the root? With pages (i.e. /salespage1 /salespage2 off of it...?

Landing page at index then blog installed at /blog - add some links on the landing page to the blog categories.

Great way to have an indexed, content rich site whilst still taking advantage of a quality landing page or optin page.

That's kind of what I was thinking - or had in my mind, but the thought of having to come up with a landing page/mini site made me think of another solution. Right now I have nothing on my index page and a blog installed on /blog

Thanks to all for the insight provided here.

Phil: Do you have instructions for how to set a site up the way you describe or know of someone who has such a service?

    Thanks.
