I already ask question from experts, but didn't got reasonable answer, I need answer from experts. Please advice
I am Expert .NET Developer having great profiles on Elance and Odesk
haroonkhalid.info
At same time I have great knowledge for SEO, Backlinking, Commenting, Scraping as I worked on SENuke in its development and also worked on many automated tools and all things are on my TIPS
My problem is that I want to start many things in one time, but also I have some investment to go through my ideas.

MY Questions to Experts are

1. Is it a good idea to develop any Desktop products like
a) Retail Management System for stores, resturants, Shoe Stores e.t.c
b) School/College Management System
c) SEO Automation Softwares like SENuke or MagicSubmitter. I have some ideas to include to make complete marketing package
I will give some things on desktop, some on web and some by manual SEO Services, which are most important like article writing and other things
Its more than 6 months of development and then Marketing Investment so long term projects. If I can do these, which one is best first.

2) I buy one domain 2 years ago
http://www.quickearningideas.com
and I am ready now to do posts in following domain as per my experties and experience
a) Freelancing
b) Blogging
c) SEO
d) Amazon and Affiliates
e) General Earning Topics
f) Web Designing and Development
g) Others
Along information as per my experience and sales pages for related affiliates, I am planning to earn.
My QUESTION is that which products are best related to this domain from affilaites and from which Network?
And what can be small Softwares that I can develop to sell along it?

3. Currently my profiles are limited to Odesk/Elance and my website, Will it be great idea to market my profile by backlinks for .NET and SEO Services?

4. Last and most important question is How I will priorotize 1,2,3 and my Odesk/Elance works. I can hire team and can invest too

Thanks in Advance for your Expert Opinion

  • <-- not an expert. Just sayin'

Sounds like you have a good business model somewhere in that mess.

Keep drilling down to figure it out for yourself.

Your situation is unique, so I don't think you're going to be able to get very many unique answers that will actually help you -- or that you should trust.

A good rule of thumb is if other people are making money doing what you want to do, do it better.
  • Haroon,

The reason you didn't get a reasonable answer is because your questions require research into the market that you should do on your own. None of the Warriors here are going to be able to give you the time that is needed to dig into the market to find answers to your questions.

    1. "Is it a good idea to develop any Desktop products"

The way you find out if it's a good idea is to research the product you want to develop to see how much demand there is for that specific thing. No body knows what the demand is until they study the market.

    2. "which products are best related to this domain from affilaites and from which Network? And what can be small Softwares that I can develop to sell along it?"

There are thousands of products related to "quick earning ideas." Do your own research and see which ones you want to promote. Personally, I think the domain sounds "scammy" and I think a lot of other people will feel the same way. Making money fast is a big red flag to Google, most consumers, and certainly web hosts. I would find another domain.

    3. "Will it be great idea to market my profile by backlinks for .NET and SEO Services?"

That totally depends upon what you hope to gain from marketing your profile. Backlinks are not what they used to be and I think there are much more efficient ways to market yourself and your business. In addition, I would think that marketing your web site rather than your profile would be the best approach. Buyers are concerned about "what's in it for me" not so much about who you are. Market your paid products instead of your personal profile.

    4. "How I will priorotize 1,2,3 and my Odesk/Elance works. I can hire team and can invest too"

If I were you, my first priority would be to research the market that you plan to sell into to find out what kind of demand there is for your intended products. Learn what the competition is like, what problems exist for your audience, the current solutions available, and the desires of the prospects in your market. Demand is critical to understand - at this point it's more important than your #1, #2, or #3.

When you have chosen a viable money niche, then I would set up a subscriber mechanism (simple autoresponder and a valuable giveaway) and begin developing a list of targeted prospects. You can begin with a simple web site or blog and begin giving valuable content to your audience that your build.

I think you need a mindset change. Don't worry so much about you and your profile and qualifications. Your expertise will come out as you develop content and give valuable information to your audience.

You need to start your business by paying attention to your potential customers and their needs. They are the most important part of any new business and they could care less about your #1, #2, and #3.

I wish you well in your new endeavor.

    Steve

  • Forget about the domain name being a priority. You can get another anytime for $10. Also, develop your own products and try not to just work for other people.

Go to sites like JVZOO and WarriorPlus and look at the programs that have made the most sales.

Then do one of the following:

Find a good program that you can develop and add more features to it and sell it for more.

    -OR-

Find a good program with a lot of features and make a more basic version of it with fewer features and sell it for less.

Since you know people are already buying something similar, you can create a product that doesn't compete directly on price. Some people will want something less expensive, while others will want something with more features.

The same strategy can be used with things like Wordpress plugins, etc.
  • Steve is dead-on....I can't tell you what you should build for customers and nobody else here can either. If they do, then they're just guessing. Because if it was an awesome idea, they'd be doing it themselves.

So I'm going to skip straight to question #4

The answer is not to hire a team and it's not to invest money....it's to figure out what you really want to do in life. If you want to make products, then make products. If you want to design sites on Elance, then do that instead. Or maybe you should do a little of both....but that's not for us to decide. All I can do is answer for myself here and you're not me, so the answer will likely not do you any good.

Personally though, I got started in IM working a full time job and working full time as a writer as well. And even when I quit my main job, 100 hour workweeks were still very common for me. That's because I wanted to succeed so badly though and I didn't want to ever stop working. So unless you can find a similar drive inside of you, all I can say is for you to stick to Elance.
