Share To Have A Great Day :)

Hey everybody. Just been working on my website some tonight and was wondering about the best way to get more shares of my articles at the same time. I looked up why people usually share content and one of them was because it makes them feel good for doing it. This gave me the idea to put Share To Have A Great Day next to my share buttons and also for my GoFundMe page. I've already gotten a few more shares of my GoFundMe page and I figured it was as good a reason as anything else for somebody to share them for me. What do you all think about this idea and do you ever put any messages next to your share buttons? I wish this would make it go viral but have to wait and see

  • I love the idea..I may just try it. I do remember reading a study that proved that servers in restaurants who put a smile face on the check they dropped off at the table got bigger tips. I guess if you make people feel good they are more receptive....crazy right?

    • Yeah. Lol, I actually got a check like this the last time I went out to eat. I thought it was a good idea as well though and I have already noticed getting more clicks on my website as well. I will try to keep everybody updated as it goes

  • This sounds like a great idea, you should test it out and come back with the results. it does make sense and I will have to change my share buttons as well. Thanks for the idea
  • NeedBucksNow it makes perfect sense that The Power of Positive is encouraging people to share more!
Hoping you return to tell us the impact of this new way (or reason) for people to share yours stuff.
  • Telling someone to share something because they will have a nice day if they do,
may work in your favor, but it could also backfire.

Sometimes its better to leave it up to the sharer as to the reason why they should share,
or how they will feel, what their day will be like, etc...

    Off topic, on topic example:

I usually don't click on things that say: "this is so funny, you're gonna laugh!!"

Why? Because allot of times, it's something lame, (a Kittie cat rolling around with a ball of wool). or something else obviously not tickling my funny bone.
So guess what happens when I see a post from the same source? I ignore it.

I guess I don't like to be told how I am going to "feel".
Kinda like: "Taste this, its great, you're going to like it."

Also, as Steve mentioned, you can't "cause" something to go viral.

(Despite what some companies specializing in viral campaigns may try to sell you.)

We all want our businesses or sales pages to go viral, but in reality,
it will take much more than a MMO blog.

(Try a Kittie cat rolling around with a ball of wool).

    • Yeah. I like it more than the "sharing is caring" quote I had before though and I guess I'll see how it goes. Kind of funny that a kitten with a ball of wool can go viral but I'de rather see the one where it is playing chopsticks with chopsticks myself All well, I know there is probably not much that can go viral besides a funny video or something but I was only wishing for a little bit. If I can keep adding content over the next year and getting some more shares, hopefully it will help me get better rankings and more organic traffic eventually

Nobody is going to click a button just because it says Share To Have A Great Day.

Of all people you should know about content lockers. Let traffic preview part of the content & lock the other half via social buttons.

    • Yeah, I was trying to control my spam at the time but I have taken that out of the site and I understand that it should only be shared if somebody wants to share it. People share to feel good though, and if they like my content as well, it could work
  • I also do not think that because of this .. content can become viral ... but as a strategy can have its sense ...You must also experience to earn ..keep us updated.. and good work
