Need Advice, Legit business for a friend

I've got a friend who is looking to work online.

But he doesn't want anything even a little shady. He is just starting out but willing to put in 30-50 hours a week with a goal of $3-5k a month 90-120 days.

Looking for advice from people who have done it.

What did you do?

He doesn't have a product to sell nor any skills (to write one) and isn't going to sell something that is truthful. Has no interest in the whole solo ad thing to build your list so you can sell solo ads.

He would be ok with CPA offers if they are legit IE they are helpful for the END user.

He isn't just looking for a quick buck but would like something that he can feel good about for not only himself but also the end user.

Anyone who has done it please advice. (He isn't on WF which is my next step for him)

Thanks

Re-read what you wrote. It comes across as, "Waaah! My friend won't let me RIP PEOPLE OFF!! What else can I do?"

The two of you are far away from a solution.

So your friend wants to make $3K+ a month?

    1. Solve a problem your buyers acknowledge is valued at $30K+. $100K+ if you want it to be dead easy for them to say "Yes." These are all over the place; you can trip over a $500K problem out there.

    2. Find a solution that pays at least $500 so you only need to make a maximum of 6 sales a month. I would go for one $3000 profit sale. Two $1500 profit sales would also be OK.

The more sales you have to make, the more time and resources they're going to cost you.

And it's easier to make a high ticket sale than a low ticket one.

What does your friend like to talk about all day? That's a great place to start. Is he a "car guy"? Then a car solution might be the right kind of solution to find, because he'll automatically be enthusiastic when talking about it. Now you've just got to find a solution that pays you $1500+, say, per sale.

Unqualified Leads >>> Qualified Leads >>> Sales.

Where are you going to find the Unqualified Leads?

How are you going to Qualify them into people who are potential buyers, and people who aren't?

In what way will you convert them into Sales?

I don't see ANY focus on these questions in your post, which is a bad sign. They are the foundation of business.

      Alleycatnews,

      Just a quick observation -

It sounds like you're trying to coax your friend into giving Internet marketing a try. Why doesn't he just join the forum and ask questions for himself?

He is not going to do well in this industry if he can't, at the very least, take the initiative to try to find his own motivation and path. If you have to hold his hand and push him into checking things out . . . well . . . you can't "force" someone to be motivated.

Kick his butt and tell him he needs to investigate and observe the industry instead of having his friend ask all the questions for him.

      Just my opinion,

      Steve

He isn't just looking for a quick buck but would like something that he can feel good about for not only himself but also the end user.
He is aspiring to earn $36k-60k a year starting in 3-4 months.

That is equal to a full time job that pays $17-28/hour. Can he earn that amount in an offline job? Reality check on that might be advisable.

His thinking is focused on himself and that won't work. He's judging what others do - listing what he WON'T do - setting monetary goals without any idea of how to earn money online.

He needs to be assessing his skills and knowledge - considering his interests/hobbies/experience to choose products to sell or a niche to work in. He must assess the target market..to see what it NEEDS or WANTS to buy. Then he has to learn how to put those products in front of that target audience or develop a service business people are willing to pay for.

He is just starting out but willing to put in 30-50 hours a week with a goal of $3-5k a month 90-120 days.
Of course someone can earn $3-5k a month in 3-4 months of FOCUSED WORK and PLANNED GROWTH. It's not an unreasonable financial goal unless he focuses only on what he wants rather than what he has to offer.

    Hey there,

Honestly in my opinion.. Just promote hosting providers! I know Host gator, if you become an affiliate with them, when you signup 21 people you can make $125/sale and 21 signups equals a little over $2,600!

If you contact beginners directly that are just starting out and looking for guidance you can direct them to host gator and offer them a coupon and if they signup, there you go!

On the other hand, if you have money and are frustrated not knowing what to do you can always go on a provider like Flippa and search for some online business that are already doing well and buy them from there.

You have to be really careful and do your due diligence carefully though! But if you have the money it can really save you a lot of time and headaches trying to get something new off the ground..

Just some ideas to help him!

    Hope this was helpful

    Adam

You can get a book written for 800$ in the warrior's for hire section of these forums. I don't personally have the patients to write, so I pay people to do that.

Pay day loans and hookup dating sites are completely legit. Tell your friend to get over it.

    The only and fastest way?

    SALE websites online!

It's not that hard as many people think. You get website out there, you make traffic for it, you sell it. Even 30-60 days young websites are being sold for $2-3K, everyday.

Now imagine selling like 3 of those.. Good ? Bad?

    Think for yourself.

He needs to get on here and have a look around for himself. Loads of people here are frightened off because they think they have nothing to offer which is far from the truth. A lot of people think they can't write, do sales and they surprise themselves because they do have it in themselves to do these things. It isn't rocket science. He just needs to join in and get going he won't look back.
