    Hello,
The best way to start would be to look at what your competitors are doing and make a few notes. See if they have a common pattern. One think that may help is to have a video explaining your product and also shorten the burden of a lengthy sales letter.

I've written my own copy and it does okay but I have to tell you it's like pulling teeth. Unless you're a natural writer and communicator I strongly urge you to pay a professional, the best you can afford. It truly is money well spent.

If you're determined to do it yourself, for financial or other reasons, start taking part in the Copywriting Forum. You won't learn copywriting from forum posts but you'll get some good ideas plus lots of links to resources where you can learn a lot.

    Hi

I have the same problem, whenever I try to write my own sales page, my mind goes blank, but then I go to Clickbank and look at the highest selling product and then check out the sales page of that product and see what kind of sales page they have that is getting those high sales.

Also I try to get into the minds of my target market and think about what they would they be getting out of your product

    Deek,

Go to Clickbank.com and look at all the sales letters that are related to your niche. Obviously I'm not suggesting you copy these letters literally but you'll get some great ideas to get started. Use the CB letters as part of your swipe file.

The other way, which I think is the BEST is join a CPA network(s) and look at all the promo tools available for anything related to your niche. You'll see banner ads, ad copy, squeeze pages, you name it.

What's great about this is that the company has spent thousands, if not millions to test and track conversions (the close rate as we say in sales). Download and PRINT these out to view. Look for patterns, get ideas, etc. and you should be able to pull together a halfway decent sales letter.

Not only will you learn more about your niche but if you're building a list you can send these CPA offers and make more $.

    Good luck!
    Dennis
