A good affiliate marketing course

Hi All,

I have been studying IM and SEO in particular for about a couple of months and subscribed to a program with good content. The more I learn about all this the more I am drawn to affiliate marketing. The course I'm in doesn't really go in a great detail how to develop an affiliate business. It shows how to rank a page and there is some content on affiliate, but not much.

Can you recommend a good course that will go over how to select an offer, build a website, what to put on the website and everything related to affiliate marketing?

Thanks

Affilorama is a quality and well respected site.

    It's at Affilorama

I am an affiliate of it.. but that is not an affiliate link.

    Just a honest recommendation.

There really is not a need to go out and buy a course. I hate to shoot down other courses, as I bet you can gleam a lot of great knowledge from them. I personally have always been a fan of two websites.

Google, and YouTube. Most everything you need to know to get a good handle on affiliate marketing can be done by a little research on google and Youtube. Be careful though whether you go invest in a course, or you go the google and youtube route. You will risk running in to an information overload situation.

The first 6 to 7 months of my time online I spent learning, and that is not an income producing activity. So the more learning you do the less income you make. You need to take action. Making money online is easy when you take the actions needed.

So by all means there is definitely a place for learning but take bite size pieces and then go and apply what you learn.

      To our success,
      Sam Lee

Iam seeing this to be true more and more. YT especially, you can find topics about anything including affiliate marketing with some really quality stuff and "how to courses".

If you are wanting to become a successful Amazon affiliate the best courses I've been through are Extreme Review/Straight Line by Erica Stone and Home Blogging and Affiliate Marketing by Pajama Affiliates.

Both take you through the process of finding a niche, setting up a WordPress blog, writing reviews for the visitor and SEO. The methods and ideas in both are similar and it is by implementing those methods I've had the most success.

A mentor is better than any course in my opinion , get a mentor then learn yourself from his / her direction, they have been there and done it so their experience is invaluable
    Good luck

Get this free course from Leadpages. I do find the course is very useful especially for beginner. However I don't recommend you to purchase Leadpages subscription, instead use other premium themes like OptimizePress, Thrivethemes and Instabuilder for your website.

You can get many useful tutorials from blogs like AuthorityHacker, SmartPassiveIncome, Quicksprout as guide for your online business.

Have a look at CB Passive Income 3.0 by Patric Chan

He's been very successful over the years, and you can promote his products and build a list

      at the same time.

Thanks to all who responded. I looked at Affillorama and joined their mailing list and they seem very legit, I'm considering purchasing their course. Ryan Deiss at DigitalMarketer also seems like a very good source.

I also very strongly agree on getting a mentor. How can I go about that? I don't know if posting on the forum "I need a mentor" will do it.

I heard Alex Becker and his mentor Com Mirza talk about getting a mentor and they both agreed that it shouldn't be someone who is way above the mentee, but someone who is a few steps ahead. Like in my case I want to get to the point where I make $2,000-$3,000 per month consistently before I scale it up. In my case a mentor making 6 figures a month may not be the best option and obviously will be harder to find someone of that caliber teaching a complete newbie.

I have found the insights and advice on this forum to be very useful and I am thankful for that. If anyone has pointers as to how I should approach the mentor situation, that will be greatly appreciated as I know how important that is.

    Thanks

Whatever you do, make sure you build lists in whatever and all niches you choose. I made the mistake of NOT doing this and I started around the same time as Frank Kern and other top marketers.

Just Youtube Frank Kern and he has so many free videos with a ton of good info. Type in Frank Kern List Building. It's a few years old but it is still the foundation of marketing.
