I'm not going to try to figure out how much they might be worth, but one place where you could try to sell domains is on Sedo.com

It's a domain marketplace where you can list them for free, though they do have a minimum value for the domains they accept.

Still, it's free to sign up, so why don't you do that. Then try to list the domains, and when you do, they will suggest an estimate of what they might be worth. You might find that helpful.

They're not actually doing any marketing to speak of (not unless you pay), but if they accept the listings, you can then send people to those listings and they'll also help you with the sales process.

Otherwise, you can also just do some social media advertising or approach likely prospects to see if they're interested.

You want to target places where people would go or people who could use a website. A popular and very good site is called Flippa. But you can also set up a campaign and do some ppc advertising on certain terms. ;-)

Is nobody going to be honest with the OP here?

It doesn't matter where you list these domains... they are duds and will not get any interest.

In today's domaining environment, the only way these would have any value (and I mean ANY value), would be if they were currently live and earning income.

You won't make money, but the time and effort it takes to try (and fail) at selling them will cost you something.

Let them expire, and resolve not to buy again until and unless you are committed to learning what has value.

      I agree Jack.
@ W450 - personally I think these domains mean nothing. Unless you have a unique idea. I wouldnt buy them just because they are on sale. As Jack pointed out, if they were making any money, people might consider buying them. A lot of sites on flippa are flipped. Owners generate some revenue over couple of months and then put them on sale.

But honestly, just the domains - I dont think anyone would be interested.

I was wondering how or if I was going to break it to the op, so glad you saved me the trouble. You've done a good deed here.

You can waste a lot of time and money on domains that really have no value in terms of trying to sell them. I've made the same mistake myself with many over the years.

I don't need the "thanks" under my post, but I do feel the need to point out that I am the only one who gave you the difficult truth, and also the only one who didn't get thanked.

I have bought and sold well over 500 domains over the last 20 years. I don't know the experience level of anyone else in this thread, but I would ask the people you so readily take advice from just what kind of experience they have selling domains like yours in the places they are suggesting.

If you just want positive affirmation and don't mind wild goose chases, then by all means follow the advice everyone else gave you. You can run yourself ragged getting all kinds of experience in how to fail at selling domains.

Selling assets that will add real value to real properties run by real people is how you will succeed. Getting word pairings that barely make sense and have little conceivable market application puts you on the road to disaster.

I have bought my fair share of stinkers over the years, and learned the hard way that domaining is not about you, the seller. It is about finding the perfect buyer and giving him or her something that fills a gap in their business (or life).

These clunkers do not do that. Not even close.

I wish you the best of luck, sincerely. You can list these everywhere. It won't help, because they are not marketable. But by all means, learn that the hard way. Experience is valuable, more so than words.

I hope you'll come back and update this thread with your experience.

He just listed them here in this thread.

Could it be that was the point?

Listen to everyone above, but listen to Jack first. The most common mistake I notice among new domainers is learning how to domain trade / domain flip in reverse order: learning where to sell domains before learning domain valuation metrics. As Willy Wonka would tell you, "Reverse that."

i am really grateful for everyone who has taken the time to reply to my thread and i will honestly take all your advice on board, i will be the first to admit i am a complete novice and am learning the ropes, could anyone recommend anything that would be worth keeping an eye out for when it comes to a 'good domain to resell' ... i mean what makes a good domain to sell, weather or not it has already made money for the previous owner or ?

Any replies would be great, thankyou.

Just because no one who has read your post wouldn't buy these domain names (including me) dosen't mean nobody will. And if you just bought them, you've got a year to see one way or another.

Experience is probably the best teacher and, worse case scenario, you now know where to list your domains should you acquire any more.

There are a lot of free ebooks about domaining and/or domain flipping out there. Do a search. But if I had to recommend an additional resource in addition hanging out on the Namepros forum, it would be to take a look at all the videos on Domain Sherpa. I'd start out with DNAcademy: The Shortest Path to Domain Name Investing.

Although I'm late to the party on this thread, I agree with the previous posters with their suggestions on Flippa and Sedo. I think they are the sites where there is competition for the right domain name.

It may differ from man to man. Most of the time I use the Flippa, beside the Flippa, I use the digitalpoint. You can use your chosen one. Thanks

W450, if you are still looking for a course, I just saw this pop up: DomainsToCash.com | Turn Your Domains to Cash

I have not studied Gene Pimintel's materials personally, but he does have a lot of fans on this forum. It might be worth taking advantage of this offer while it is at a fire sale price.

    You should definitely try Flippa!
It offers great flexibility and had
    a great experience with them.

You can also check sedo but
I don't think if it is even close to Flippa.

  • On a strictly humorous note, by the way, and while coincidentally also contemplating the reality of many worthless junk domains out there, including the ones I was involved with before dumping them, just on a lark I checked to see if this one even existed recently and was surprised to find this sales listing for it:

    https://www.cax.com/crapdomains.com

Absolutely hilarious for anyone with any experience with domain names.

And whoever has it will probably be throwing every renewal fee down the drain.
