Could you please suggest a PHP script or a WP theme designed for an ebook sore?

Thanks!

You're better off selling a line of ebooks about 1 subject, instead of a site that tries to appeal to the mass. If you market to everybody, you will market to nobody. Plus, how would you customize your backend sales pitches via email? Are you going to say something like, "come and check out my new products in my ebook store". Plus, what price are you going to price the ebooks at?

I don't know what your ultimate goal is, but you could use just about any shopping cart script that allows digital downloads (which is 99% of them). You can use free script like OSCommerce, prestacart, opencart, etc., or you can pay a monthly fee for a hosted cart like volution, 3DCart, Bigcommerce, etc.

Hosted carts have the advantage not having to deal with a lot of the technicalities so even at $20/mo it's a good deal.

With a self-hosted script whether you pay for it or use an open-source free script, you are your own IT department.

You have to weigh out the advantages of each but a hosted solution is usually the best way for small operations.

There are a lot of bookstore templates at Envato or Theme Forest. I have been using Easy Digital Downloads for my ebook sales, including one of their templates. They have a lot add-ons, including WP themes. Some are free, others available are relatively inexpensive.
