Use This Method To Make An Extra $500 - $1,000 Per Week

Hola warriors!

I just wanted to chime in and add some value to this part of the forum. I was getting ready to post this on my facebook so I decided to drop it here first.

Whether you're a complete beginner or you're currently having success with this whole "internet marketing" thing, here's a pretty cool and simple way to make an extra $500 to $1000 per week.

The beginning of this might sound cliche but the twist will come, trust me.

Step 1) Find A Niche!

This is obvious right? Well a lot of people never even get past this step. If you're having trouble selecting a niche just always remember that health, wealth and relationship will be three of the most profitable. If you're passionate about something you could also start there just make sure it's PROFITABLE of course.

Ok picking a niche..simple stuff..moving on.

Step 2) Build Your Audience

Just to keep the motivation for those who might be on a tight budget, I won't talk about paid traffic although that's how you really scale. For now, just stick with "free traffic driving strategies". Build up your audience on different social media platforms or just choose one that interests you the most.

Give value centered around this particular niche you're going after.

Introduce yourself to EVERY SINGLE PERSON you get connected with on social media, no pitching..no links..just a simple friendly "hey how are you" type of message. I have a full-time virtual assistant that does this for me on my personal facebook now since that's the main platform I use and my engagement on every single post is SOLID.

Hopefully it's ok with the mods and if not just delete, but Here's A Screenshot of the type of engagement I get. For the advanced entrepreneurs you'll also notice how I put a link to my blog which then allows me to "cookie and retarget" those who click and engage

Anyways, Connect with 30 people per day, give value, be awesome and the more your fan base grows the better off you're going to be.

One of my mentors said that once you have 100 raving fans you'll never have to worry about money again and trust me this is TRUE.

Step 3) Create A Product

Most people HATE to hear this lol but yes if you really want to 10x things, at some point you want to create your own product. For now, you can just stick with affiliate products though, BUT just try to find something that you can make at least $100 per sale on to make this method I'm about to discuss more effective

A $97 price-point seems to be pretty sweet for this.

Step 4) Run Weekly Webinars

Ok so now that your niche is selected, your audience is being built and you have a solid relevant product to promote that will help solve needs in your industry, it's now time to bring in $500 to $1000 plus per week.

Pick one day out of the week to run a 30 minute to one hour webinar where you give away nothing but value and at the end of the webinar make a pitch to your offer. Just try to keep the webinar content relevant to the product you're going to sell so that you can stay congruent

Peep this.

Imagine if you were only getting 20 people onto your webinar per week and you close up to 30% of them on your $97 product. That's 6x97= $582 WEEKLY! and we're talking small here..

For those who doubt a 30% conversion rate...half that number and double your attendance rate which is pretty easy to do and we're still talking the same numbers!

Do you get where I'm going with this? Webinars have been proven to be the highest converting compared to traditional methods such as just sending people to a sales page.

Step 5)

Rinse and REPEAT!

For the excuse makers..

But Jeff, I'm not that good of a speaker!

I was once on a webinar where the guy stuttered for 90% of the entire presentation and still managed to make 6 figures in a night.

Most people don't care about your presentation skills, just deliver the goods!

But Jeff, I just don't have the money to invest into a webinar platform.

There are plenty of platforms out there that will allow you to get started for free..just work your butt off during the trials and paying the tab won't be a problem at all.

But Jeff, I just don't have the TIME

Those 4+ hours that you spend per week posting selfies, playing silly games and scrolling through your newsfeed wasting time on social media is time that could be spent making connections and ultimately MAKING MONEY!

But but but. Forget the excuses just do it!

Go out there and get em tiger.

Excellent post Jeff Baxter. Although your formula is very simple, most people skip the most important step (delivering great free quality content).

I seen several marketers say that you should not give your followers a lot of free stuff, because they will complain when you start to promote paid products. I totally disagree with that thinking. I have found that buyers will always buy if they trust you and freebie seekers will always just want freebies.

So..the biggest thing people should get from your post is that they need build trust with their audeince and don't be afraid to give away some of your best secrets for free!

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it and love your way of thinking. You can NEVER give away too much, just always remember to SELL is what I tell people

You're absolutely correct. Trust is KEY when selling anything online, be it a product or a service. You must give your audience a reason to trust you, then work hard and diligently to retain that trust. Your initial customers will stick with you, and recommend you to their friends, who will recommend you to theirs, and so on. One thing people appreciate online and will respond to is someone they believe they can trust. Never give them any reason to doubt you.

Buddy Most People is right .If you give too much free products people will difinitely complain and will try to reduce price or asking one more free and this process will continue. So it will be better to keep balance .In short just follow 51-49 rules. Thats all

Good advice, Jeff! I'd also point out that it is important to be building your list through an autoresponder system. One could even do this by promoting their webinar, this way you have another way to stay in front of your audience (unfortunately with Facebook you are only reaching a % of your fans with your posts), and you'll have a list to send more followups selling your product and even future products.

You nailed it on the head.

It would be a shame to put in all that daily effort building an audience only to settle for direct webinar traffic.

That's like getting cents on the dollar.

The vast majority of people who visit a web page will never be back.

Turn those people into list members and you turn them into future traffic.

You get another bite at the apple and might possibly convert them later.

        smart man.

This takes hard work too. Im doing $800 - $900 per day online.

And not here to show off. Just here to say, that most people are not willing to put in the hard work that I do. Most people see what you have to do and give up.

I think building a list, and following up with them most days is the smartest thing you can do.

For those of you that do not know KIM ROACH, she is killer, and on the WF.

She did a study of 4 millionaires. They all generate hundreds of leads each day, and FOLLOW UP with them, and generate value each day to their EMAIL LIST. Yes!!! EACH DAY!

it takes guts and determination, and a bit of luck. But I can guarantee you that 99% of people are not doing what I just said, and KIM ROACHES study!!!

I found that emailing my list daily, and helping, and offering value increased sales by 355%. But the first thing you must do is BUILD YOU LIST. I could scream that till I go blue in the testicles. LOL. but it really is the cornerstone to doing well online.

        - Celente.

      I respectfully disagree.

Most people give up before they even get started...

They aren't consistent and get discouraged when something doesn't happen overnight.

The method is indeed simple and it works with consistency.

I would say that this is stretching the truth a bit. Or, maybe impractical for most people on this forum - right out the gate. I'm pretty sure they've heard about techniques/advice/theorems ... or even seen proof of this method or expectation, but when they implement it themselves.... the kind of numbers and conversion rates that you are quoting is grossly outrageous and unbelievable (and definitely unattainable).

Yes, you are correct. I would say that 30% is a tad bit too small. Maybe 40%+ is a more reasonable number. I even witnessed a guy I know personally put on less than 100 people onto a webinar for a launch in the last 24 hours of it and brought in a few grand like it was nothing. He even went on to win the affiliate contest.

      He wasn't special..

      He wasn't really big.

He just built a following on social media and held a live webinar about a topic that was popular and BOOM!

If you think the small numbers I threw out are not attainable you definitely don't know the power of webinars combined with social influence.

Thanks Jeff, the regularity of content, in this case webinars, is so important and I couldn't agree with you more. It's funny that people wonder why they aren't building engagement when they are not regularly engaging with their followers. I've used the webinar platform GoToWebinar plus a few other platforms with great success in other roles and they are simple and easy to set up and allow for huge audiences to follow. The other thing that I have noticed a lot of people doing of late is live Facebook videos, which then show live questions and comments to the person who is running the account, another great engagement option. I think your statement about putting at least 4 hours into this is a good one, if you think about how many hours we probably waste in a week online, scrolling through rubbish posts and being unproductive, 4+ hours is not a heck of a lot of time to invest in IM. Thanks again, I look forward to more of your posts.

Jeff, you made an interesting topic here.... It is simple like that...

But getting people to follow you on facebook ( or just like your page ) is not soo easy anymore.
Twitter it is easy to get followers ( but not sure they "read" your tweets, too much ).

And like someone said.. before you could easily sell $97 products, now the price went down because the competition is much higher. So yes it is easy for you to get $500-$1000 per week, because you were there already years ago and have a nice list of followers... For beginners it is much harder.. Nothing is impossible though ;-)

I read some persons writing about affiliate programs, it is the easy way to have a prodyct BUT :
      * product isn't unique, many others have it
      * you get only a commission, so you loose all the hard work you did
      * owner of product can stop his affiliate program, go to another one, ...

      Just my 2 cents :-)

I don't know below of comments are true or fake, but I wanna say it, people don't buy $97 affliate product, and if there is less people in webinar, then your conversation will drop to below 10% .

Retargeting is basically where you can stalk people around the internet after they've visited your website. This allows you to generate more leads and sales since some people don't buy or subscribe on the first visit.

Good bones in the post but the numbers are not realistic. 1) If you sell a $97 affiliate product you will not make $97, you will make a commission on those sales that is half or even less. 2) You won't see a 30% conversion rate for webinars at that price point. A $19 or less price point might get you there, but at $97 you are talking 5% or less. So in summary, you will make less on affiliates products and they will convert lower as well. So in your example scenario, you are really going to be making maybe $50 per webinar on avg, not $582.

      Bhahhaa ... I've had 22% and higher conversions on a $497 course so I'd say 30% plus on a $97 product/course is VERY conservative.

Also, Jeff discussed creating and selling your own product in his original post. Saying that, even as an affiliate I'd be promoting ONLY products that paid 50% commission for promoting via webinars.

So again the $500 + bucks per week is a sound and achievable number.

Jeff's post has given me some ideas to test in the coming weeks and I'm confident anyone who applies this and ditches their negative/cynical attitude can achieve the quoted figures.

Then again, less than 5% of folks reading this will take any action other than bitching or whining

Totally agree Jeff, One of my mentors actually took me over his shoulder in one of his webinars, and although I have Definitely seen better presentations, and value in webinars, his results were 40% conversions on a $197 Product. It was since then that I saw the true potential of webinars. Haven't gotten a chance to actually do one myself, but I plan on doing one soon.

          Thanks for the great read.

Sweeet! It's posts like this that's the reason I laughed like crazy when there were some in this thread who doubted a 30% conversion rate on a webinar. Webinars and regular sales pages are two different things people lol..

Nobody is doubting 30% conversion rates. What people ARE dubious of (me included) are claims that 30%+ conversion rates are "typical". Sure, SOME people will get 30%+ on SOME offers - but that's a far cry from 30%+ being a typical result for ALL people on ALL offers.

While I don't dispute your conversion rates, saying a 30% conversion rate is "conservative" is misleading.

I mean, sure, YOU may have gotten that type of CR on that ONE product but it certainly doesn't mean that's any sort of a sustainable or typical conversion rate - especially if you are an IM novice.

Yep, makes me wonder as well. Not typical at all. I think it is important for people to point this out because many new people who come on here will think this is the Standard and it is NOT.

As I stated in my thread, if you don't think a 30% conversion rate is achievable, half that number and increase your attendance

Seriously though, a great offer combined with scarcity makes those numbers achievable. Even a newbie can do it if time is spent perfecting each and every time

cool, i get the scarcity bit but how do you beef up the product to where you get such a high conversion rate.

Hi Jeff! Quick question... If you create a product that is a eBook or eCourse then what do you think would be the sweet spot for giving away info for free?

Would you say 25% to 35% of the information of your paid product is enough for your marketing campaigns?

Good post Jeff, although very simplistic by today's measure. The idea is not just to find a niche, how do you find a niche, how do you know that niche works? But this formula could work, I say could because the online game is changing and it is not just about email lists and webinars. People are getting smarter on spending online and that means making it tougher to make money online like this.

  • Nowadays, your fans are wise enough to see you if you are just selling them and always trying to make money from them. The only first thing to do is you must build a solid trust first before selling something to gain more trust. By giving a high value content a real concrete ideas, product or method that they couldn't find in other mentor or basically, ways on how to make their lives even better. In that way they will trust you that you're the one they were looking for. That's the easiest way for them to sell.

Nice post...haha, that's a great comeback for people that think they don't have enough time. I've seen first handed how much time could get wasted browsing on social media to get through a newsfeed. A practical solution for that is to set a timer, using your cell phone or computer, to allow yourself time to indulge in small bursts (like 10-15 minutes at a time) between breaks or in the evening when all your work is done for the day.

      Good: because its motivational
Useless: you think "find a niche" is an easy task? It requires market and competition analysis, price comparison, and several other things b4 you select a product that will be profitable

If you want to be a good teacher pls detail more than just "find a niche"

Sorry, I'm just now getting caught up on the replies to this thread. Basically you set a code on your website, from facebook, google etc that allows you to retarget those who visit.

You don't need paid traffic to get people to visit your site.

    Fantastic! Here's another one...

Go to clickbank or any of your favorite affiliate networks and find a product that is proven to convert with EPC's. Go to Bing ads and create a campaign direct linking to that affiliate offer.

If the EPC's are correct you should make a few sales in no time with a little optimization on your campaigns.

Once that is done I create my own landing page and build a list in that marketplace and work on increasing my conversions.

The best part about it is it works every time. Either that or I throw it out and start all over again.

The problem with this strategy, though, is that you can wind up with a banned advertiser account. It's happened to AdWords users and Facebook Ads users.

I would avoid direct-linking because you have ZERO control over the content of the page you are linking to.

I was just writing about this not long and in a nutshell here's what you need to remember..

It's ok to give away free stuff and build good relationships BUT you don't want to be popular and broke. While you're giving away valuable content, at the same time you need to make sure you are SELLING as well..

If you don't sell to your audience someone else will and before you know it, you'll have people spending money with strangers that don't care anything about them over YOU because YOU were afraid to sell.

Great information for those who will listen. The webinar idea is great. When people can see your face and hear your voice they have an easier time believing in what you are offering. Thanks for the insight and information. When you create your own product you are in control. 97.00 is realistic and affordable for most individuals if the product helps them improve their lives.... I have seen products that costs alot more and are more like fleeting smoke.

Actually a lot of people do it they just "do it" the wrong way. You'd be surprised at how many times per week I get spammed with affiliate/mlm links on first contact with people..

Thank you for sharing these steps, I believe it may seem easy but the truth is there are a lot of people who stop even before they would reach success. It's not that they are not following the methods you share but it's more of patience sprinkled with a little luck.

When we do these things expecting a quick return as you mentioned, the frustration builds up especially when the numbers are not reached easily. People has to remember that it's a process and not an overnight success.

I think all of us would want to be in that level but not everyone has the tenacity to actually reach that goal. It will all boil down to the value you add to your audience, is your offer worth their time? What are they getting out of it? Solving a need, fulfilling a want or getting a new experience, those things are crucial in marketing before you could actually see the money come in.

    Dear Jeff,
Wonderful post from you. Appritiate the effort.
But i believe, for someone like me, who is starting fresh - creating a product would be very difficult proposition in the initial stage.

Also - i believe a product which gives you $ 97 to $ 100, would require it to be priced around $ 149 or $ 199 selling price (since we need to have affiliates & they need to have at least 50 % commission). That way, a product which has such a high price (again relative), will need to have very good content.

I believe what we can do is take the initial low hanging fruit route - of doing 2 things -

    (A) Select a niche, select a good affiliate product, select a domain of similar name, redirect the domain to affiliate link, and share it in lots of places. share good free content along with it, so that people are tempted to grab it, and we can expect to have some sales.

    (B) Create a landing page, give away a free report, try to get at least 1000 to 2000 subscribers per month. Start bilduing relationship with your audience. Reach to 10,000 subs in 6 to 9 months. Keep building your $ 199 product meanwhile. Once you are on 10 10,000 subs, launch your product with a 3 webinar series, or 4 video series. Try to pre-sell the product, with a well written copywriting work. Get as many JVs as you can, before the launch. Then, launch it on the "D Day". I beleive selling 500 to 1000 nos of the product in one week of launch is practically doable. This gives you one whole year of earning, in the 7 days of launch. its just that you have been working the whole year, and you get paid on the last day. Also - the list you have made is your to keep & reap from it, each and every month.

Do let me know what you feel about the approach.
Would be happy to know your views.

    Hi Jeff,

Excellent POA, that if followed diligently cannot go wrong.

New marketers can stick to affiliate products as suggested in Step 3.

Choosing a great product from one of the much-in-demand niches can make a huge difference. I am in the relationship, dating, self help, hypnosis niches and I know there is a lot of demand for products here. People look for all sorts of advice that can bring about a positive change in their lives.

Affiliates have the potential to make a lot of money, as long as they zero in on a product that offers real value.

There are several other popular niches to choose from, like health, weight loss etc.

And as Manish mentioned, affiliate marketing can also be used to see how things work and to keep the cash flowing, while they create their own product.

    Great post!

its worth much more than just 1000 dollars..... ive done well with this.

But in order to do this, you have to be willing to work your ass...off...and give value where needed.

A few quick tips in this regard:
    1. While selecting a niche, make sure that there has a sizable audience.
    2. Do not get overwhelmed by the sheer number of help blog posts and training courses.
    3. Take action as soon as you feel comfortable with the niche and selected offer.
    4. Engage in social media and build a seed list.
    5. Dare to be successful - if others can do it, you can do it too.

Setting a plan like this and actually seeing it through should be the top priority of everyone who wants to be successful. This is like a blueprint for every internet marketer adding the prospecting and converting your leads accordingly. It takes time, trust, and luck, not to mention the determination to study over and over again your methods if you have failed. Rewriting your plans and pushing further this time.

The best way an internet marketer wins me is when they make me the center of attention, like the way an offer would help lighten your load or something. I need it, I am going to look for it, but why should I get it from you? What do I get?

The free seminars, support and what nots are always always something people are always happy about, they continue to avail things because of the value they equate it to and when a marketer is pushing you into buying something, it creates annoyance. I think we all relate to that as customers, one way or the other.

    .
Engagement is probably the biggest challenge for a lot of people after creating a product. The thing is it works. Treating people on your email list or your FB friends like human beings and not tagets - will do more for your marketing. This is the only way to create raving fans.

    Great post Jeff.

Awesome post! I actually am very thankful for you sharing your insights and although it might seem very simple, they are truly a little challenging.

At the beginning, not everyone has a niche that could have the potential to be successful overnight, because the value it gives differs from person to person. That value must then be translated into a tangible knowledge or service that people would want to avail, this is where the transition could be a little difficult. It's either there are big players or you only have a relatively small market to cater.
