What Hosting Package Do You Recommend?

Other than Hostgator, BlueHost, hostmonster, FastDomain and iPage (all owned by the same company) what hosting program do you use AND would highly recommend for

great service via phone or ticket system,

that works with multiple WordPress software on sites,

that allows for many sub domains on the same payment plan,

allows you unlimited email accounts

PHP Max Input VARS at least 1840, better yet 3000 (hostgator won't go above 1000 for the plan I have)

I've been using hostgator's shared hosting for 8 years at $12 a month and it does work with WP free themes. But my new website is much more robust. I keep coming up to all the limits Hostgator has for emails, PHP, etc.

Looking to see if people have found better resources to use where I can eventually move everything I have over. I have about 10 domains and some sites have two editions of WP on different folders.

It looks like if I were to stay at Hostgator or any of the other companies their owner owns (all the companies above), and get a VPS at $60-90 a month. Seems that the limits on their WP plans won't work for my new site.

Just wondering what options I have and what you'd recommend.

      • I agree.

I left Godaddy many many moons ago because of it's demeaning commercials. And I was looking to buy and possibly become an affiliate of an book creator program by someone on this forum -- but he wouldn't get rid of the girl in the bikini on the home page.

        Just not business like.

I work with a company called Nexcess and host my personal WordPress site with them and they are a huge step up from any of the EIG companies when it comes to server speed, quality of service and quality of support. They own their own data centers in Michigan and also have international data center space as well if needed. Shared plans start at $12 a month, but there are larger options as well. Support is 24/7 and available through a ticket system or phone support and i can assure you these guys do not treat customers like a number. Whether you're a $12 a month shared hosting user or a thousands of dollars a month corporate client, they're going to willing and able to work through any issues you may run into. I'd shoot the sales team and email or jump on the live chat and explain your situation, and at the very least, even if you don't end up with Nexcess, they would definitely be able to push you in the right direction for what you would need with your site requirements.

If you're looking into the VPS route, I can highly recommend WiredTree, another company i have worked with, as a managed VPS provider. They are awesome for pretty much the same reasons listed above. They are an independent, niche hosting provider that are completely focused on customer support and satisfaction. Hope this helps.

I would recommend you to go with Non EIG hosting brands. Siteground is one of the best shared and VPS hosting providers. If you don't have any issue with your budget than you can also opt for managed hosting services provided by Kinsta, liquidweb, etc.

Not since they were bought by Endurance International Group (EIG) from what many that have had those hosts have reported.

I'm with Site5 and EIG recently bought them out and their support went from stellar to garbage, as in virtually none. So I'm searching for someone else.

      never go with 'reputable' companies

thats totally OUT of the question, because these guys ALWAYS
run into troubles. Go with the second layer or the third - they ALWAYS WIN

man, you havent been around long enough, first row players ALWAYS suck
no exception, no not even one

    • Limits would be the word.

Limits on emails sent per hour makes it difficult to use your own program online.
I've been sharing IPs and someone s spending spam, so I get blacklisted.

Last 2 times I called the gave me wrong information and had me spinning around for 3 days with the other companies I've been dealing with.

I cant get their support page to "submit" and all calls and chats have been in vain.

      To name a few things...

I think they got too big.

There’re many big guys in hosting industry that you can rely on, however according to me, there’re 3 big guys that I usually use to host a large number of webiste on them. 3 of them are Godaddy, iPage and Namecheap.

With Godaddy, I usually get big discounts via email, the most percent discount I’ve got are 30% off and 25% off on new orders. More, they have a very professional and comfortable control panel that can help me much in domain management. Very easy to transfer or renew when I need to do. When my domains get expiring, I’ve always get notification by them, that’s very good. For their coupons, you can visit here to get Godaddy coupon for hosting just only for $1/month

With iPage, currently they’re offering the coupon with a huge discount upto 83% off on hosting, I think that they’re one of the cheapest hosting now. Their support also good. The hosting features are good too, with some unlimited using such as space, bandwidth,…

With Namecheap, they have a very good and friendly support team that can help you almost instantly, I’ve contact them many times and each time was let me very happy and rate them 5 stars in supporting. Namecheap also give monthly coupons that can help you save 25% off on your hosting, VPS purchasing.

So I would like to recommend 3 hosting providers above to you. I hope this helps.

    Good luck to you!

You can check the service in two or, three site, then you will be able to choose anyone from them. I use Godaddy, Namecheap, Hostgator for Domain & Hosting. Thanks

Vidahost are the best (imho). I used pair for 10 years but after switching to Vidahost several years ago I wish I had switched sooner. Vidahost own their own data center and down time is almost unheard of. Their customer service (if there is a problem or you simply just need help) is amazing.

My vote goes to KnownHost (not affiliated in any way with them; I have just rented a SSD VPS from this company). I am very happy with the performance of their VPS but, the best thing about this company is their top-notch customer support. No matter the time of the day, of the week, or of the month, they have been able to solve my issues in a couple of hours (maximum). And most of the issues happened because of me, being too noob to work with their tools.
Before them I've used godaddy and hostgator...and I would never go back to them again (expensive and with terrible support)

Not sure if you have switch yet or still looking. Veerotech.net is a great company to try. Their customer service is stellar. Lookup the member here named "kingfish" to get more insights into the company. Two others also come to mind that are not part of the EIG at this time. Namehero and Stable Host have strong endorsements and worth taking a look into. The best thing is to reach out to all three company's if you have any question. The right choice is important. You don't want your sites down ! Like a well known hosting company had awhile back.
