WP site starting to get quite a few visitors via Pinterest

Hey guys,

So my WP site has started to get a few visitors from Pinterest now. I have a Pinterest profile that has over 5,200 followers (it was only setup a few eeks ago and I'm getting 100 new followers every day). The method in a nutshell is creating a few quality boards based on niches with a bunch of really good pins (including a lot of other people's content to build the profile up initially).

What I've done is post lots of random photos related to my niches, as well as infographics to link back to my site. I'm getting quite a few clicks on the weekend. In nearly all my posts there are links to Amazon affiliate items as well as other affiliate stuff.

I've not yet started to convert though- though I have some high quality content with some pics in the posts.

So my question is- what Wordpress themes do you recommend- I'm not specifically looking to make it an e-commerce site as it does have some random posts about travel etc- are there themes that are both good converters and have lifestyle/magazine/picture elements?

  • When you are looking for WP themes you have to remember\
    that Pinterest is the Instagram of yesteryear, i.e.

    many photos next to each other vs, just one photo at a time

    the visibility is more focused = the response goes up by not
    diversifying the people's ability to focus.

    So go with simplicity

    one photo only at a time

    Instagram wins, so do you, if you follow the simple rules

    • I always thought instagram was for people showing off selfies? lol Do people post general images?

      And is Instagram a better traffic source than Pinterest?
    • Time to hit YouTube for some Instagram training! I just launched a t-shirt site on spreadshirt.com to monetize my vaping blog. I guess now I need to reinstall Instagram on my cellphone and get to work!
