What I Found Out About Twitter

Twitter.... well it is the easiest tool you can use to say want you want and what you do.

I found that it's a great time waster, But of course, that's if you can find how to make it profitable for you, beyond just tweeting for the fun of it.

Ya, Twitter is a great tool to get more traffic. I used to update it with new blog posts daily and get new followers daily. It really drive some traffic to me

I find the "retweeting" is where I gain the most.... I only retweet posts that I think are of real value to my followers and the act of retweeting has made me numerous friends and collegues who are more than happy to.... in return "retweet" my promo links to thousands of thier followers!

I think you hit the nail on the head.. people love to RT quotes.. and if you take a firm stand on a hot topic you will get RT'ed and followed also.

I found out that if you answer tweets from people, that is, use some live conversation, you get more live followers. You will still get auto-follows, but your percentage of live followers will go up.

I also found the best way to convert a product is to get on the twitter blog - can't remember the name of it but it's the blog function that you click from the bottom of your twitter page (blogspot?) anyhow.........
Post about your product - put a tweet up to it too while you're at it..........but.......
Just above it make a new post - post a joke that is too long for a tweet but short enough to show the title and the first few sentences of your product post - then tweet the joke (remember to use the general URL to your blog rather than the specific joke URL so they will see the joke - but will see the product post right under it, too. They'll be more likely to actually start reading it (and keep reading it if it's interesting) while they are there and it's much easier to get them there when they aren't just going there to look at another ad.

can anyone explain how to retweet. I am new to twitter and am not so versed in it .... yet

Like many, I didn't get Twitter at first...since getting on though, I can attribute income directly to participation in Twitter. That's good enough for me.

We all know that a lot has been written about Twitter, not to mention all the applications you can use to improve your experience on Twitter, but I was thinking maybe there is something that YOU personally may have found out about Twitter and may want to share.

Here's what I found out about Twitter...

When you tweet good content regularly you can easily get new followers every day (they will find YOU). I also found out that when you post content from Google Hot Trends that that, too, draws in the followers. And one more thing that never fails is when you post Inspirational Quotes... you get deluged with new followers. Now I can't explain why any of this happens (maybe some of you Warriors can), but one thing I do know for sure is that everybody wants new followers.

Can you share "what you found out about twitter"?

My twitter username is YourEncourager-I send inspirational quotes because I feel we all need inspiration in this life. We all have enough problems dealing with the daily news, so I don't tweet that. And I do get retweeted and get new folowers everyday.
