Advice on JV partner

I have a poker (online poker, gambling niche) related info product and I am interested in partnering with someone that has a list or marketing experience in this Niche.

My question is

1. Should I offer a straight commission and at what rate is fair?

2. Or should I offer to put the partners product in as a backsell or OTO with mine?

Anyone with experience in this area, It would be greatly appreciated if you are able to offer insight into the best way to procure a partnership, affiliates or marketers and how best to offer them a good deal on sales.

    no matter what you do it may turn out into a negotiation process.
    Do not start off too low or too high.
    Leave yourself some wiggle room to make the deal work out for both
    parties involved.
