Payment System Method Selection
Hi guys,
I'd like to get some insight on payment methods.
We have a monthly membership website which has been up for a few months. We're charging a trial price of $2.95 for the first month and then $97/month thereafter.
So far we've used 2checkout and PayPal as our payment processor but are now looking at switching to one of the following:
1) Merchant Account+Gateway+Shopping Cart
2) Clickbank
3) PayDotCom
We do need affiliate capability (which we currently have - our site is using the Amember membership script)
I know ClickBank has a huge affiliate network and that's why we're considering them as an option.
We will be incorporating OTO's later on so that's something else to consider (which can be a bit trickier when using Clickbank).
One thing we're trying the cut down on is the amount of clicks it takes for a user to register. That's why we're looking at using the custom gateway method.
We're in Canada and are considering PowerPay.biz as our merchant account provider. Any thoughts on them?
Unfortunately Authorize.net is not available to Canadians so we're looking at their Canadian partner Cybersource.com. Has anyone had success with them? Another option is BeanStream.
