Yahoo Traffic but no traffic from Big G according to analytics

Why would this be?

I just checked my google analytics.

the site is 3+ months old but this is odd considering other sites I've built never had this happen when I look in GA

no affiliate links
it is indexed in google
content is unique
and it is health related.

Perhaps some of your keywords rank well in Yahoo! but they aren't ranked well in Google?

For example, maybe a keyword that's pulling in traffic from Y is on page 1 of Y, but that same word is on page 3 of Google.

Just a guess. You can check it to see if that's the case. Just plug in the keywords that are bringing traffic to you and see where they rank in Y! and where they rank in Google.

I guess it's just one of those hit & miss sites I made (for now).

Yeah, I forgot do the obvious. It makes sense as they are extremely tough kws to rank for but I'd expect at least a small ratio like Bing's traffic. "0" is just strange and a sense of feeling defeated.

However, I will go back to the drawing board, kw research (long-tail), optimize & then send in my report to the Queen/King Google once again for its approval :-)

    Thanks

Yahoo gives good points for good content. Your content may be loved a lot by yahoo rather than google

To get traffic from Big G, you have to do lots of hard work, You have to get more and more backlinks, specially from your site niche related sources. Then, big G will give you some good places too

Try the linkwheel technique. One of my websites did well with Yahoo/Bing but did not rank on Google. I am now on page 2. I have a lot of content and it really should rank well compared to some others so it may have just taken something to get it noticed

I have a few sites like this. Lots of traffic from Yahoo and Bing but nothing from Google. I'm working on the problem but it hasn't worked yet. One of the sites is 5 years old.
