Which is safer wordpress plugin VS script (same software)

I have have a wordpress website with a lot of plugins.

There is a software I'm going to install that gives you the choice between a wordpress plugin or script version (same software).

The problem is that I have a lot of plugins installed and am worried about an conflicts between them in the future.

1.) Do you think its safer to install the script version the avoid any potential conflicts with plugins? Can script conflict with wordpress plugins?

Even if there are no problems with the plugin now, there could be one in the future E.g when updating

Thank

Besides the potential conflicts between the plugin and other plugins you may have installed...
You should keep in mind that adding yet another plugin will simply add to the overhead of your existing Wordpress installation and potentially slow down that site.

Installing the standalone version would minimize the impact.

Wordpress is the most supported platform.
    Better go to it.

If u have u get mess with lots of plugin the problem is in your plan: firstly decide what you need and what not, then do it.

Also choose a good hosting like greengeeks, tmd, siteground

Wordpress support is immaterial if the OP chooses to use the standalone script.

Why not ask the people who made the script and plugin on the better approach?

I would likely just use the plugin and see if it causes any issues

Yes if you really satisfy with this tools then you can install it. Actually what happen if you install too many tools in your website then it may be harmful to you. And the website speed will decrease and it may be hang for sometime.

    Thanks all,

It sounds like the plugin should not be all that bad, I think I might just go with the plugin since it will be 1 place to login (wordpress) rather than having the scipt separately and thus a separate login.

    Cheers

I thought (based on your original post) that you were concerned with the security and potential conflicts that might exist between the ad tracker plugin and your other plugins.

You didn't mention that your overriding concern was that you might have to login separately.

I should also point out that even if you went with the standalone script, there is no reason that you couldn't have the same login credentials for the two systems.
