Hi, I planning to start using my own YouTube videos to promote affiliate products. The problem is that my English is not so good.

What do you think about using "text to speech reader" like ttsreader dot com on my videos? Is it too unnatural?

Text to speech isn't optimal, but if it's the best you can do, it's better than nothing. I'd also include text captions, along with a quick apology/explanation that English isn't your first language.

Also, learn how to improve text to speech. You can add things like commas to your text to add pauses where appropriate, etc.

Another option is to team up with someone that does speak English well, although partnerships can often have their own issues.

Get a native English speaking freelancer to do it.

You can probably find someone here: https://www.warriorforum.com/wanted-...king-hire-you/

I am sure , since you are posting Here , you can write and read English...
My advice to you is go ahead and start making videos with your own voice, even if it is not perfect But it will be True and more convincing..
I saw many folks doing it on YouTube that s perfectly Fine.

Unless you're a native English speaker. Then it can be perfectly unintelligible.

People who are not native English speakers (no offense intended) have no idea how wrong some of the things they say sound to native speakers.

Use your own voice. I get better conversions when I started using my own voice. Just say you are sorry for your bad English in the beginning of your video.

I think your English is okay. If you need more good English you can hire a freelancer from any freelancing site. Nowadays it is no longer an issue to find a freelancer at a low cost. Thanks for your advance.

Brent, depending on where the 'native' is from, native English speakers can be just as unintelligible. Take a Brit from Manchester and an American from the deep south or back-bay Boston. Sometimes you have to take it on faith that they are indeed speaking English.

On the other hand, I've spent phone time with folks from Germany, India and several Caribbean countries whose English was better than my own.

Some native English speakers have no idea how wrong some of the things they say sound to the rest of the world...

The robotic sounding voice from these text to voice applications can be a turn off to some viewers. Instead why not outsource the text to voice to actual persons which sounds more natural. You can find cheap gigs on websites like Fiverr.

i would use fiverr, im spending lots of time in there, to leverage stuff I cannot do.

But for you I would really do this, its worth the money, look for heavily used users, it means you have to wait a bit longer, but well worth the wait.
