Website Directory Submissions

Does submitting your website to website directories still a good tool to use? Do any of you use this technique?

    I use them, but most of the time I am trying to get a back link to a certain page on my website and the website directories only let you submit a top level domain, so I use a lot of social bookmarking sites instead. You will get back links from website directories, so they work for that. You probably won't get much direct traffic from them.

    Yep, I use them once in a while and I even got a couple of my sites listed in DMOZ because of it

    Yes I use them. I have a software program called directory submitter which helps me list my site in many different directories. I recommend it
