Where are the important information on closed blogs or websites going?

Every year many websites are going down due to various reasons. However, my question is - where else the valuable information on those websites is archived?
In this case, are the free blogs playing a particular role? Comparing the self-hosted website with WordPress!

Thanks for your essential answer. But such information is certainly not in Google search or not open to everyone, as I think! If I hope that my post will be online for many years, then what platform will be suitable for publishing?
Please, let me know if anyone knows?

archive.org is accessible to anyone. If you're thinking about blogging, you can always distribute your content to Linkedin, Medium, Blogger or any of the other blogging platforms.

I can't see those going away anytime soon.
