"up to $500" includes everything from $1 up - so what is the point?

Writers with experience, reputation, expertise in the field, technical knowledge, etc can command high fees. The average 'article writer' seldom qualifies for that sort of fee schedule.

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

Not only that ... those who have the credentials and can command such high writing fees probably have all the work they care to engage ... and they certainly don't go on to public forums to ask where to find high paying gigs.

I know some that pay more than that, but they are paying incredible writers that have a proven history of creating the highest quality content imaginable. You earn/write your way to the top!

P.S. I know most of us don't pay a lot of attention to our posts but I count 3 grammatical errors in your question.

Click on the links in his sig and you will count many more and that's with a site with like 100 words total.

I'm not that wordy either but if you want to get paid for writing you have to show good writing samples.

To be brutally honest with you. If you were personally able to write $500 articles you would not be asking where to go to get paid that much.

Writers that get paid that much do not need to seek out work. It will normally come to them.

Maybe start writing Kindle books yourself. Someone might spot your talent and hire you to write for them. Of course, your content has to be super great.

Why not find a way to make $500 or more per article (or video) using fb ads. Relying on others to paying you the upfront money isn't the way to go, and isn't very scalable, IMHO. It may look like a difficult job at first, but after a running few campaigns it could be doable, and remember videos do better than article nowadays.

You can list your services for that amount on any freelancer site you find. The question is. Who would pay $500.00 for an article.

    Yes, I do.

    Next question...

Seriously, Most of the companies that will pay fees like that are not going to be found on any job board or freelancer site. You're far more likely to find people willing to pay $5 than $500. You pretty much have to dig up such clients on your own.

BTW, here's a couple of ways you could have worded your subject line properly:
Do you know any online companies or websites that pay up to US$500 per Article?

No offense intended, but your wording sounds more like a $1 to $5 article writer than one commanding $500per article.

    $500 I don't know about. BUT...

Last year I got invited to submit a bid on a writing job board. (Copybloggers.) And after a long wait, I was notified that the entire team chose me and that they would pay up upward of $300 per long blog post.

Later I learned that over 300 people had applied for the post and that I got into the top three.

So: yes it's possible--if you can write a strong pitch and have good, appropriate writing samples.

Only one way to find out.

Wow $500 per article. I'm not even sure if there is one. But even if there is, the company would've already been working with that writer for a couple of years now. They must've started with a lower rate then gradually increased the writer's pay and of course they've also taken into consideration the quality of his/her articles over the years.

Hate to break it to you, but if you want to get paid 500 bucks for writing an article, you have to be insanely good at what you do, have years of experience under your belt, and a lot of knowledge.

And another thing--when you're that good, the companies are going to come to you, not the other way around.

Also, you might want to try other ventures--other sources of income. It's difficult to depend on only one type of job to get a lot of money.

It also helps if that knowledge and experience is in a niche or field that has very few people competing for the opportunity. Technical or industrial B2B writing (think placing articles in trade journals on behalf of a company) is one such field. If you can write effectively about something like chemical pumps or CNC programming or something, you have a much better chance at that $500 than yet another "Top 7 Weight Loss Tips" clickbait.

You'd think so, but it isn't so most of the time. There are a handful of top copywriters booked out years in advance, but they are writing sales packages that generate millions of dollars, not writing regular articles.

If you want to make good money writing articles, you'll probably have to spend time beating the bushes. It's just that when you reach that level, there are fewer bushes, and even fewer people beating them.

This is very true. Even the top copywriters I've met utilize multiple stream of income. It's easier if they're all related. Think writing, coaching writers, consulting, speaking/onsite training, etc.
