Advice For Account Approval On Upwork

Any advice for getting account approval on Upwork, applied over 20 times. Tried a variety of different subject skill, taken 4 tests and completed everything. Constantly being rejected.

      Whatever skillset I list this is what I receive:

      "we carefully reviewed your profile to determine whether there is sufficient need for your skills and experience in the marketplace. Unfortunately, at this time there are already many freelancers with a similar skillset to yours and we cannot accept your application"

    You are probably already red flagged now for having applied more than once.


    They may not just want people from the UK (less demand for their services, as buyers go to cheap international workers?).


    Is there a way you can sign up with a buyer profile and purchase some services, then upgrade to a provider in a few weeks?


    Alternatively, I'd suggest cutting your losses and wasted time and apply for a different freelance site. Upwork have already made it clear you're not likely to get much work (and it takes a long time to bid for all the different jobs and get nowhere).

      I agree, that would be the best thing to do. Most of the work is very underpaid anyway. Just frustrated with it.
      Move onto something better....
