best counties for targeting facebook ads for affiliate marketing

I'm launching a facebook ad campaign and need to choose a target audience.
I would like to choose people in countries that are most likely to buy products online.
third world countries don't work well for that, on the other hand countries like united kingdom, Canada, Australia and north america DO work well for that.
but I need more countries like those and widen the targeted audience.
I've recently added Germany and Switzerland.

any suggestions for more counties that will be suited for targeting?

A simple google search will lead you to actual data about where online sales occur by country - would be better than the guesses you'll get here.

They are even ranked by level of spending:

My ducks are absolutely not in a row. I don't even know where some of them are...
...and I'm pretty sure one of them is a pigeon.

US, Canada,Australia, UK are top 4 countries I target and get maximum conversions from.. It depends entirely on what product you are promoting, maybe ask your affiliate manager. They always have data, insights to help u get maximum conversions from paid traffic.

What's the product? Can you target based on interest as well?
Also, is it open to all countries?
Is the site/landing page in multiple languages?

Running Facebook ads is more than just targeting tier 1 countries. To be successful it takes a complete marketing strategy and a ton of research. Do your homework first to see if you have something your targeted audience can't live without.
    Good luck!

What would something be that you would be selling that any targeted audience couldn't live without?

If they couldn't live without it, wouldn't they already have it, or have they been waiting for their entire life for someone to offer it to them?

Let me know. I want in on that.

That's where market research come in my friend. Before you launch or sell any product you have to make sure there is an audience out there that wants it. That why demographics is important.

So to answer your question... everyone wants to make money, live a healthy life, and have a successful relationship (among other things). Your job as a marketer is to find the people that don't have what they desire, find a solution to help them get it, and put it right in front of their face.

This is where a lot of marketers fail because they don't do market research!

Running paid ads is about a lot more that just selecting a bunch of tier 1 countries and letting the campaign run.

You'll find that in some of those countries you'll barely get any conversions. There are a lot of factors, it depends on the product, type of target audience, price point etc. B2C vs B2B etc...

For me I will first see which country demands more of my products (you may do so by performing a keywords research for specific country and see how many searches a month your product generates in x country, B country ... ets) - Then I prefer to do a split testing (Say for example making a facebook ad and target X country and then B country and see which permores better).
