Question on traffic originating country

Hi,

Would be glad if Warriors give some valuable views on this:

1) What is the credibility of a website if it receives majority of traffic from Russia/Russian block (in particular) or Tier-2 country (in general)?

2) Does traffic generation from Tier-1 country makes a site more credible?

Above questions are based on perspective for affiliate marketing.

Looking forward and thanking you in advance.

Regards,

Rizwan

What are you trying to sell and to whom?

Not selling anything. Doing site analytics for marketing purpose.

Tier1 countries just have a lot more buying power.

I could not make tier2/tier3 traffic that much profitable in E-comm or in affiliate marketing. For me that traffic from those countries feels it's bots/rotator traffic

OK. So does it make a difference if traffic comes from Tier-2/3 or Tier-1?

The majority of my consulting leads and clients are from Tier 1 countries. I think Tier 1 countries are what you should target for, but be prepared to pay high costs per click due to the competition in a particular market. One way to get around this is by entering a small niche, and you will see your costs per click for Tier 1 countries to be around $0.50 cents per click - or lower.

My 2 cents is the US and UK is where the money is at if doing MMO.

Canada, Australia and New Zealand dollar is worth .68 - .74 USD which can potentially be a setback if promoting something that is a higher USD value offer.

My core business, however, is lead generation (education, insurance, loans, credit, debt, assistance, mortgage, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc, etc...) for which I promote 100% via the US, as that is where the bulk of the offers come from. Which the more offers you have access to, the easier it is to find ones that do well.
