Google Analytics Data Showing zero Avg. Time

So, I have started a new blog in health niche. I have published some good quality content on it. For 2 months the visits have been ranging from 0 to 3 per day. However yesterday there was sudden spike in visits with 28 visits in single day. When I checked out the data, I found that the traffic was from Canada and USA. I was really excited until I saw the average time spent was zero, which turned me off.
So is that all bot traffic or it is genuine one. If it is genuine then does google takes time to update average time metric?

For sudden traffics, from Google analytics can detected, where your traffics come from? Some type of traffics devide into organics, referral, direct, or through by ads traffics. Please make sure, which one type of your traffics visit your site. If your traffics come from organics traffics, its good, and congratulation to you.

There are many blogs where you can post your articles for free. Take advantage of this opportunity. This will significantly increase your traffic not by bots, but by real users. But it already depends on how high-quality, interesting and unique your content is.

It's most likely a bot. Make sure you're filtering out known bots in GA (just a checkbox in the admin area) and then set up a seperate view and filter out the traffic.

There are two reasons behind this. It might be bot traffic or you are not creating quality content. You have to reserach on it. You can also look at the traffic sources of your blog to analyze the traffic.
