Need advice on growing a successful Affiliate Program.

I have been running our Affiliate program for more than a year now across more than 10 websites. Our sales and number of affiliates have grown steadily throughout the time the program has been running however there are approximately 1% of the affiliates making 95% of the sales. Depending on the site we offer between 15-30% commission with a 45 cookie. I think our program is very competitive, but our product is online education, so it's not as straightforward as being an affiliate for a product.

Wondering advice on getting more quality affiliates? Is it normal to have just a couple rockstars making all the sales? What has worked for you? Growth is starting to slow and I want to keep that momentum up!

The lopsided distribution of your affiliate results is NOT SURPRISING

The 80/20 rule is always in effect

For every 100 people signing up to an affiliate program, only a few BOTHER to actually promote the program

Of those who do, only a few know their channels well enough to convert

Of those that convert, only a few produce BIG TIME results

This filtration process is always in effect

To BOOST your numbers, you need to ZERO in on the part of the affiliate funnel you can OPTIMIZE... this is the "For every 100 people signing up to an affiliate program, only a few BOTHER to actually promote the program" section

    How?

Find blogs / FB pages / Twitter accounts that are already in your niche AND which also promote affiliate products

Reach out. Earn their trust through social proof. Cut them a deal for giving your program a TASTE TEST

Have you checked out your competition is doing. Many times you will find clues on what they are doing.

Better yet I remember a quote from Jay Abraham about looking for solutions, many times answers to your problems are solved in other industries.

I see this all the time and have applied it to my own websites.

Incentives has worked for me. I asked my affiliates what I could do to increase their sales. They responded and I delivered.

Once your affiliates learn that your product makes them money and you go the extra mile to increase their sales they in turn become consistent in promoting your products.

Tip = One vary good incentive is to create a new product that you make available only to your top affiliates.

Tip = Do not confuse incentives with

Love this idea. Thank you. I have tried increased commission rates based on sales, but that's more of a reward. I'll have to brainstorm this more.

I think there are plenty of ways you can find quality affiliates for the promotions of your product.

Given below are some suggestions for you.

    1) Running affiliate contests

If you can afford to pay well to some of your best affiliates than it is one of the most effective technique used by internet marketers these days.

    2) Exchanging affiliate promotions

You can sign up for any affiliate network like jvzoo e.t.c and make connections there once you successfully setup good connections than you can always share each other's campaigns and make real impact.

    3) Add recurring commission based model to your network (it is really powerful)
I hope these tips will help you to build more powerful and effective affiliate results please do not hesitate to share the results with us thanks

For me AY, I think leveraging. Meet more people by helping more people. Make sure these folks are interested in the affiliate and education niches. Gain more sign ups. Leveraging in the right spots for the right folks will increase your sign ups. Also, keep doing what worked to this point and enjoy it, too. Everything will grow.

That's not uncommon, your affiliate numbers. Usually it's a few out of many who are doing a lot of your business but a lot of the smaller ones can add up to numbers that are worth it.

Have you advertised yourself anywhere like Offervault or Odigger? How have your affiliates found you?

Have you signed up to any of the big affiliate websites like CJ or tried connecting with performance marketing / affiliate websites to have access to all of their affiliates?

    Just some thoughts.

It sounds pretty accurate that the majority of sales comes from a select few. Can you share details on your company?
