Ringless voicemail drops.. My million dollar idea

Need feedback on my million dollar idea??? Do I need a membership site
created? should I even proceed with this

Recently joined a SMS texting program which provides a platform/marketing for sending text messages...
I tried their vendor and sent>>> 3700 RVM's with absolutely no response. The vendor
could not provide me with any details of time, # picked up nothing just

So, I though what if I started
a company that provided ringless voicemails for the individuals who signed up under me
to assure that they would get what they paid for and more... Here is my thought.
Purchase a database of opportunity seeker's cell phone numbers. Found one
for around $800 per million biz op cell phone numbers. Currently 236 million available. database updated every 30 days.
Then contract with a professional Network to actually scrub the numbers (DNC, verify valid) and send out the RVM's through their portal. would cost around $598 +/month unlimited (use proceeds to pay)

Now each new signup (Cost to join texting platform is $297) So I would give each new signup 10,000 - RVM's sent for them through the Network. New Customer could gain the Ability to purchase additional 10,000 RVM's/month for only $95.00. Usual cost for this would be _350.00

Their option would be to either send the RVMs for their own business or
get local customers, restaurants, realtors, Ecom sites, etc.

New customers would be able to add an incentive for sales (30 days only then they would have to join). Use Creative Marketing and provide vacation certificates (i.e) 1-4 day Las Vegas stay, electronic gifts, (ear buds, mp4 player as incentives to purchase the product.)

Why do I say a million dollar business $200 x 5,000 =$1,000,000 To do monthly text for local business owners. a person could charge from $500 - $1,000/month. Buying the cell phone numbers in bulk , being able to sort by zip codes, area codes and sending through a registered robust network would make the difference in our price and the quality of the service???? What do you think?

Of course that is a costs but because the marketing is part of the business, all the costs for purchasing the cell phone numbers and costs for the ringless voicemail drop implementation is a tax writeoff.

I will take a look at your business to find out how old marketers do this business online. Privacy issues?

Would love to know your miracle method. Tried to sign up on your website but got a notice ?mailing list not active" so please enlighten me on "The business runs off a very cool style of marketing that most people overlook or think it's too "simple" to make money -
Yet it has become the backbone of thousands of million-dollar online business doing 3 (simple) things every day and it's always becoming more profitable" Who knows this may be my other way.

Thanks for your input. Went to your offer online and was pleasantly surprised. I will send you a message so we can talk about a book project I have that you can help me with. thanks again you seem legit

It is just the math. The expectation is that 5,000 units of a $200 product can be sold. Actually, I looked at a graphic that someone sent me showing actually how easy it is to make a million dollar with the number of individuals that internet marketers are able to reach in one day with their myriad of offers, not necessarily my service of sending ringless voicemails. But the number 5,000 seems so small compared to the billions of people online. It just seemed that this level of success is available to all of us. I did not do a business plan or profit and loss statement, costs of goods, sold, etc. Just the numbers. But, thanks for your input

Thank you very much. I was looking for feedback, good or bad and I got it. Actually, this business model is marketed all over the net rather successfully, The problem that I was trying to alleviate is the non-existent rvm's that are sent by vendors for their members and the inefficiency of some of the processes. One vendor requires the sender to purchase a new SMS numbers for each 200 numbers that they send to (i.e. for 50,000 voicemail it costs and additional $250.00).

Oh great. another marketer that wants to fill my cell phone with bullshirt.

people do not want to wade through endless voicemails that are meaningless just to find the one from a friend or family member.

why is it that new marketers all want to find a way to invade peoples privacy. I am all for marketing but totally against spamming people.

    find another way

This is why I say that pull marketing works even better than push. people want information when it's relevant to their current activity and texting is the preferred way to get that information. They text you when they interested in your product/service. Keyword based autoresponder app is much better for small business marketing

You'd be better off with the STANDARD way marketers do this
Post engaging content on social media and sending an autoresponse to people who bother to a) use your number b) use specific code
This way you offer REAL value and you FILTER serious leads
Kills 2 birds with one stone

The problem? You have to use REAL value-driven content. You can't just blast your WA number around like SMS autoresponse spammers

The highest converting use of this technique involves using FREEMIUM content

Yep, Al and WriteAway have it nailed.

The way I prefer to do business is create content and have people come to me. Granted, there are plenty of ways to market our brands online, but content creation just seems to work best for me.

If I often advertise and when I do they're just ads online that don't target any specific person.

FB Ads, YT Ads, PPC, I even bought ads on WF.

That approach (combined) gets me good results and doesn't appear to pee-off anyone.

Sounds like a good deal. 10,000 RVM for $100, beats the price of most of the companies out there. There are more costs involved on your end for automation and things like that. $300 for SMS sending might be an uphill battle unless that is unlimited sends.

Looks like you're already catching heat from other marketers but that's to be expected. Marketers don't like to be marketed to, then they have ways that they individually deem acceptable. You would get a similar reaction if you posted you wanted to cold call or cold email everyone.

As expected, since I do not respond to texts who do not have my permission to contact me.
Only the local blood center gets a response from me.
Spam text messages are dead in the water. You'll get better results from snail-mail lumpy letters.

You marketing test shows no interest in your message in that channel.
So the message or the method or the channel sucks.

Live and learn. Has this message ever worked in in any channel so far?
Start with small successes and work up from there.
So far as I can reason, one million times zero is still zero.

In previous businesses I have worked with two RVD providers.

Neither of their technologies worked properly.

While the "ringless" part of it functioned, messages were not delivered; therefore, when people called back, they were confused. Since they were often salespeople such as insurance agents, the "flip" to unexpectedly becoming the prospect frankly pissed them off.

I share this story so you'll know what you're getting into.

    Perhaps your technology will work.

For me, this is not a good traffic generator. In my experience it has not produced good prospects, and was far more trouble than it was worth.

What you are seeking is permission marketing.
With text messages, we all want them to be 100% relevant
and provided by request only. Work on getting permission
for any messages. Isn't that really what want anyway?
People looking forward to hearing from you?

Virginia, when you reply to posts, please use the quote function - otherwise it's hard to know which post you're responding to. It's easier if you switch to "classic view" by clicking that option in the drop-down menu under your user name along the black tool bar at the top.
