Google Ads - Great Click Rates - Terrible Conversions

I've been running a Google Ads campaign in a limited geographic area in the south of England (20 mile radius of Portsmouth). My data shows great click numbers, but I'm getting hardly any conversions. I've tried two different versions of the landing/conversion page - and tested it - it works fine. I'm worried it may be click fraud. Anyone have any ideas? Or could it be to do with the fact I'm running the ads in such a limited geographic area?

      Thank you for your advice. My campaign was a display campaign - so I wasn't using keywords. I'll try your advice on excluding the click location / demographic though - thanks again.

    How about no fraud, just a mismatch between the ad and the landing page?

    Google is pretty good at detecting click fraud, but it's not impossible. Try switching the wording around a bit. Look at what the people who clicked were searching for, is that exactly what they found on your site?

    If it is, the problem could be your landing page, try different headlines (headlines make a huge difference in sales), switch things up a bit. It's all about split testing.

    Make sure you're targeting the right (money) keywords, buyer keywords. People just looking for advice hardly buys, people looking for the perfect solution on the other hand...

    Hi, are you using conversions as the goal for the campaign? Also if you're running a display campaign, are you displayed on sites that are relevant to your product?

    Don't go to click fraud so quickly it is usually the quality of clicks that is the issue.

    So a few things you need to do
    1. Check your ad matches the landing page
    2. Make sure the sites that display your ad are relevant
    3. Change the goal for the campaign
    4. Use the conversion code on your landing page

    You may also want to select some audiences that match your buyers. Not sure what you're selling, but you could probably find in-market audiences for something close.
