I have good potential for a profitable blog. Can you help me brainstorm?

I have a facebook group targeting leisure sketchbookers that is already almost 40k members strong. Now I want to create a blog, and while I already have an idea of the content, I need to find the best way to monetize this.

So far I was thinking of basics like google trends for researching topics and andsense... perhaps amazon affiliates. But I'm new to all this. Just looking for some suggestions.

I'd say affiliation is the easiest way to monetize that, what is this audience buying already? Guide them with value, it's a nice way to start and a win-win. Regarding if Amazon or other options...Depends on if Amazon is the best provider for your audience in this case or not and on what's the best deal for you; maybe you can give us more details on that

You can search in places like Clickbank and similar or directly look for"learn to draw" courses and see which ones can suit the need of your audience while paying you well

    Sketchbooks...

Im a product guy... to start, Amazon is your perfect fit. Be it Pens, Pencils, Erasers, chrcoals, Sketchbooks, different kinds of papers.

There comes a point you need to brand some of this stuff... pencils #1's, #2's #3's etc I would be branding sketchbooks with different papers. plastic drawing design tools.

When it comes to brand there is a tendency of loyalty... what they ( your end users ) watch or read or participate in, is also what they will buy.

Good ideas. If want to sell a "learn to draw" book to my visitors, but I don't want to write it myself, where can I find one to generate most profits?

      Hi John.

Definitely search Amazon.com ... (I had a quick search and there seems to be a lot of eBooks/Guides/etc.)

If you have some money to invest, i would suggest to get some education about how to blog and monetization, i recommend if you take a look in Income School.

The guys build a bunch of websites and teach based on their experiences and they have a great feedback, some of the best students get 6 figures per year.

I am telling you this because there is a big learning curve and a lot of activities, its not just to get a topic and write about it.

Pribeiro has a point, if you're completely new at this, it won't hurt you to invest a bit in training first...You have to be careful because that 40k community is a valuable asset and knowing what you're doing can make a huge different. Don't overcomplicate it either, or you can run the risk of never starting and falling into analysis paralysis. Keep us posted

Search in Brave, Firefox, Edge or Google for "learn to draw affiliate program"

Some only pay 5-10% but others pay up to 50% commissions.

Don't just pick the one that pays the most. You have a large audience that trusts you. Only recommend an ebook or course that you would recommend to your grandmother. Only recommend one that you think will actually help someone.

Since many in your audience may already have some drawing skills they would likely have no interest in a beginners 'learn to draw" offer. Instead, you may want to consider companies that pay affiliate commissions on art supplies.

Seems like it could work if you test out different marketing approaches

I am not sure if this would be of interest to you. But, There have been many how to products on making blank books and selling them on amazon. just google "Low Content Books" "Zero Content Books" "No Content Books" or something similar in your favorite search engine. So basically you would be making blank sketch books and the only design would be the cover.

    Just a thought
