Bad Traffic vs Good Traffic

If you've been in the online business for awhile
you probably experience this

With bad traffic, you could send thousands of clicks and generated very little or no sales
With good traffic, you could send just a few clicks and generated a lot of sales

so what are the good traffic source that you're using?

To me, it's the platform that allowed me to generate fresh leads
like bing ads, google ads or FB ads

Cheers!

I agree with you that it's the platform that generate fresh leads for any businesses. I would recommend using LinkedIn to build on your digital presence and online branding, so as to generate targeted leads in the long run.

Hi,in my opinion, there is no such thing as bad or good traffic... It is important to target and advertise regularly.
Now there are services that allow you to send your ads monthly, and believe me, this gives good results. The most important thing is that they will relieve you of the routine work of sending out ads.
As for me, I use different services like classified submissions, traffic monster, X ads and FB ads.

It is not the source of the traffic that is the most important thing when considering what is "good" or "bad" traffic, The most important thing is the targeting of the traffic. You wouldn't expect to sell cat food to dog owners, but, with the same offer, you could sell plenty of cat food to moggy lovers.

Although I agree that targeting the correct audience is priority #1, there are most certainly some platforms that you will not do well with compared to others.

Facebook ads work in some niches, but not all. Same goes for the various ad options with Google or Bing.

The only way to know for sure is to try every avenue out (and certainly do what you can to target the correct audience - something that is far easier with some platforms versus others). Keep things rolling and ramp them up with the platforms that work and cut bait with the ones that don't.

Every niche and every product is different and what works for one may not work for another.

Thats right ,you need to find the right audience
Its not so important the traffic source ,its important to find the right people for your offer and put what they need in front of them

  • To target the right audience, you need to do many things. For example with fb ads, you need to use the right creatives. Pixels are important as well, old pixels with data will be much better.

Good or bad traffic for you depends on what product or service you provide. That will determine your proper target audience. One should try to find where they spend time. Must utilise those platforms. Try to create content that will solve their problem.

Totally agree that targeting the right audience is key. But lets not forget to look at it from the other side.. and by that I mean let's not forget the magic of having killer content or the right product which resonates with the audience. Even the best traffic won't convert if the content doesn't hit the mark.

yes, targeted traffic, good traffic, hot traffic, and warm traffic
can make sales at the end of the day. but where are these types of traffic?
I mean if Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc all the big targeted traffic companies were working for all of us we would all be millionaires! They don't because of their bidding system some can bid 500$ for one click because they have a quality product of 50k to sell. but some that sell a 5 - 500$ product can not compete in the ads bidding.

There are many solutions to this, one is the classic landing page that collects emails
and via email marketing has warm, hot, and good targeted traffic.
there is an other way ...

I like the traffic I get from Google and my face book FSN page because it allows me to target audiences interested in my services.

To me bad traffic is any lead that isn't interested in my content or subject matter so to speak

Honestly, it depends on a lot of things, some of them are the product or service you're offering, your target audience, and your location. Personally, one of the main sources of good traffic I've utilized is SEO. There are lots of SEO strategies to choose from depending on the factors I've mentioned. It just depends what you're willing to invest on. Ads are great source as well though!

I fish in the pond where the type of fish I want live.

If I fish a mountain lake, no matter how long I fish I'm not likely to catch any Tuna.

I have to go to the blue water (deep water) in the ocean and wait for them to make their run and then reel them in.

You need the right bait, for the right fish in the right place.

    Then you will eat good.

    Get it.

Getting good traffic results is about playing your cards right. You must clearly define your goals and understand who is your target audience. Then you can see what traffic sources fits best. Sometimes you can use a combination of them.

    Good Traffic:

Those who have chosen to join your email list out of interest in your company, goods, or services are known as engaged subscribers. They click on your links, read your communications, and may even become paying clients.

focused Audience: You acquire quality visitors when you send focused campaigns and segment your email list. This indicates that the recipient of your emails will find them interesting, which will increase interaction.

    Bad Traffic:

Subscribers that haven't opened or engaged with your emails in a while are known as unengaged subscribers. It's possible that they registered years ago but have since dropped out. Sending them emails can result in spam complaints and damage your sender reputation.

Purchasing email lists is not a smart move. These addresses could even be spam traps, as they are frequently out of current and inappropriate to your intended audience. Email providers may put you on their blacklist if you send emails to purchased list.

i think it depends on the audience who is seeing your page. If for example you are providing a digital marketing course and only people of an older demographic are seeing it like 50+ of age then it is of no use to you and it would not give the desired results. However if you target a relatively younger audience, you might get more results and it would be beneficial to you. Good traffic is essentially dependant on what audience are seeing your page. Fcaebook ads are great at targeting the desired audience.

if you don't get targeted traffic or potential customers it means it's bad traffic that can't add value to your site this type of traffic often bounces back to your site quickly and that's why your site ranking is also compromised

It's simple - if your unit economics work, you'll get good traffic, no matter how you achieve it. Every type of business, and even each niche, may have its own preferred traffic channel. The key is ensuring that the cost of acquiring that traffic is lower than the price of your product or service.

"Bad traffic" refers to visitors who don't engage meaningfully with a website, such as bots, irrelevant users, or those with high bounce rates. "Good traffic" involves visitors who interact with content, convert, or spend time exploring, contributing to business goals like sales, leads, or engagement. Quality matters over quantity.

Good traffic = People with commercial intent. People who use words like "buy" and "price". Easy to convert.

Bad traffic = "Surfer" traffic. They are not looking to buy anything. Very tough to convert.

If they are not actively looking to buy what I'm selling I'm not interested.
