Hello warriors:
Recently i heared about the PLR, and there is still something that i cannt understand.
With PLR can i own articles and put my names on them and they will be mine, and will the seller sell them only for me not to others, and if it is the case why alot of article marketers bother them selves with writing articles while they can easly buy a bunsh of PLR's without any effort????

Usually, PLR articles won't be sold to only 1
person. It's open for different people to buy.

Also, because PLR is written by someone else
and it may not be the article marketer's
    standard.

He/she may wish to portray an idea or strategy
    in a different way.

PLR is great for ideas and as raw material.

PLR will not be only sold to you, it is sold to a lot of people.

Does this mean that i can't use them as they will generate duplicate content and i cann't use them in my site?

It depends on the rights given out by the creator of the PLR content.

I use PLR articles as raw material, like Asher said. I rewrite it almost completely, but it gives me an idea to work with. Another thing I use it for is for my promotional blogs. I have my main blog that has unique content, and then I have blogspots and wordpress.com sites that link to my main blog and for those I use PLR articles mixed with unique content.

The problem with PLR articles is that everyone has them. 99% of people do not even bother changing them. They put their name on them and just post it up to their blog.

    Hi guys

a lot of plr articles will be sold to everyone and then if you change 30% of it then it will be unique enough to you without coming up as copied content on some of the article directories.

Look out for plr articles that are restricted to 100 people as that means less people will see it and the quality is usually better.

    kind regards

I agree, it is always important to re-write your PLR articles. Insert you own keywords and ideally inject your own personality or writing 'voice.'

If you need a constant flow of articles for your sites, "quality" PLR articles are perfect to complement your main 'original' articles. The key word here is 'quality' and definately steer away from 'quantity.'

Will duplicate article materials work against you interms of google page rankings, etc?

If so, then PLR is literally only good for raw content.

Correct me if im wrong - I'm a newbie!

Duplicate article materials will definitely work against you for google page rank, HOWEVER, this doesn't mean that PLR is ONLY good for raw content.

You can, for instance, send parts of a PLR package to your list as articles or reports, depending on what kind of PLR package you buy.

Also, the fact that you have to change PLR to avoid problems with Google page rank is not necessarily a bad thing. It's a good idea to rebrand any PLR that you plan on selling, if not for Google page rank, than for some branding congruence with your list or subscribers.

No one is going to write ten articles and sell them for a typical price of $10 to just you, it takes way too much time to write them to be able to do that. If you want to do that, then buy original articles from someone and use them. You will need to spend $5 to $10 or more (depending on the quality) per articles to get originals ghost written for you, but then you can put your name on them as the author. You will probably get a better quality article to boot.

You need to change PLR content before using it, even if just changing 30-40% of it. PLR is great to get raw ideas, but if you plan on submitting articles to the top article directories then you are going to have to change the content of the PLr articles drastically.

You can use PLR to update your blog, but again I would not just copy and paste the articles. Even if Google will not punish you, I still would not advise having the same content on your website or blog that hundreds of others have.

    Just my opinion.

that's why you only buy plr with limited licenses... it cost more, but a lot more effective.

most people never end up using it anyways... even when only say 20 packages are sold maybe 1 or 2 people will actually do anything with the content

Good advice. I typically just write the content myself, or on occasion outsource the articles. However, if you are going to purchase PLR as opposed to writing your own articles then I would surely recommend only purchasing PLR with limited licenses.

PLR articles usually have low quality, depends on who's selling it.

It is sold to a lot of people and you need to edit it so that it won't be a duplicate content.

Well, PLRs are useful in order to provide you with new ideas when writing your own unique content but I really won't use it as is since it is being used by many people. =)

Even if you rewrite PLR articles 100%, you will still get penalized, sandboxed, and de-indexed by Google for duplicate content -- immediately. This is because they know it originated from PLR.
