I wonder if any one care to share how their ad in Facebook is doing ? People say the typical CTR is 1 to 3 % but I am not seeing that high as of now.

thanks
Rob

Out of those click though, how is you closing ratio on sales (or leads)?
A lower click through rate can be ok if your closing (sale) rate is higher.

Who are you targetting through facebook?
People can say all they like about what rates you should see, but at the end of the day it al depends on who you are targetting and the appeal your add has to a certain market.

True - FaceBook has some great targeting capabilities and I have used a standard set of Dating Demographics that have always performed really well on Facebook and can be used as a starting point.

If interested PM me I would be more then happy to share the demographics I have been using with my affiliates.

Consider 0.5% on Facebook AMAZINGLY good. If you get to that, bid on CPM and forget CPC. You can get clicks for pennies. It requires tons of testing but it can be done.

Highest I have gotten is 0.6X%

One of my ad campaign had a really lousy CTR - 0.043%

I am running ads to get ppl sign up for fan page in travel niche. I guess I must be either doing wrong targetting or the wording is lousy.

Anyone aware of any tools out there that can help to do split testing and stuff in FB marketing ?

Personally, I have been advertising on Facebook since it started. When I first came in, I was really hoping that it would maybe replace my adwords but quickly discovered that it would not happen. But, I realized the impact of the ads when I was traveling around the world to different events and people were saying they saw my ads everytime they logged in. I hit my hard - run the ads for BRANDING not for MONEY.

That's my personal take on it.
