Turn Ebook To Audio - Where?

Hi Warriors,

Just wondering if anyone has any decent experiences as far as turning an ebook/guide into an audio book (mp3 format).

I don't want to do this myself and want to outsource, so anyone have any experience with turning an ebook to an audio book, and where?

I have outsourced loads before, so actual experiences would be beneficial or even recommendations!

You can hire people from Freelancer.com or peopleperhour.com
They are people doing it well at low prices!

This seems like a feasible idea as many buyers would prefer content in alternate formats including audio and video. As for whom you hire, you would want to hear samples of the vocal quality before hand to ensure the person has the right pitch and tone for your content.

I use fiver to find talent for a voice over. Most have sample for you to peruse. Also, you can try reading the e-book yourself if you have the time and equip. Best of luck to you.

You may want to do a test run, I am currently experimenting with it to see if it is viable, get the Ivona Voice for UK Amy or Brian and use it with balabolka free software. you will be VERY surprised at the outcome, it is very close to being perfect. It MAY be an alternative...

the voices are getting better but in my opinion not there yet. I couldn't stand listening to an entire eBook being read by a computer. BUT that time is getting closer.

If you want to do outsourcing , you should check the freelancer previous work history with Feedback & quality of the work. Then you should make understand about your project/ what exactly you need & want. Then you should hire any freelancer.

I will add another vote for Fiverr.

There are lots of good people there who do excellent audio transcription work.

Use the search function there, and sort them by rankings.

Somebody who has lots of repeat buyers of their gig is a good bet, so look for that.

If the ebook is one that you are selling on Amazon, you can go to acx.com (audible which is now owned by Amazon). There are voiceover artists there that you can either hire for a one time fee or no upfront fee but a percentage of the profits. Once approved it is available for sale through audible.
