Before You Write An Article...

Here's something you may find interesting on outsourcing articles.

I wrote around 20 articles for a client on a certain niche. A month later, the results she got were around 110 subscribers to her list out of roughly 900 visitors to the squeeze page.

She was very pleased with the results and continued to use my service with her next product. This time I wrote double the number of articles (40 articles) for this new niche.

And the response...?

A poor 20 subscribers with around 250 unique visits. Boy, she was gutted. I reviewed the articles again and found that the article titles, content, resource boxes were all fine.

The problem was her chosen niche. If she looked at the article views for her second product in EZA, the result should not have been a surprise. Her second niche was not popular.

The lesson is... do your research first before outsourcing your articles and even before creating your product. Your ghostwriter's job is to write your articles only.

      Thanks Clawson44.

If a ghostwriter did tell you that your requested topic was a bad choice, would you respect them more and give them more business?

I'm pondering on this. Maybe something to add when I increase my prices.

We should guide and keep an eye with our hired employees. Though we are confident that they can give us the best result, it's still our responsibilities to check their work. This should be a SOP even in our in-house employees.
