When I receive an email from Copyblogger, I immediately open it and read it beginning to end. Why? I learn stuff. The emails are content-filled and usually right on.

So... today I received this email: "Free SEO Copywriting Report"

I didn't think twice. I got the report. I read the report. I loved the report.

Normally, I would include a disclaimer that the report does include a sales pitch for Scribe, Copyblogger's new product. But I don't even have to do that. The Copyblogger dudes are so squeaky-clean straightforward-honest up-front that they did it themselves:

After 24 pages of pure educational content, the report naturally goes into why and how our Scribe software service was developed in the context of real-world SEO copywriting, and then explains how Scribe simplifies the process. So if you're at all interested in Scribe, you should make sure to read all the way to the end for a nice surprise offer.

You don't have to provide an email address or any other information to get the PDF. If you have a moment, all I ask is you let me know what you think about the report in the comments.n
I love these guys! (in case you couldn't tell)

So. Get the report. Get it NOW.

I am NOT affiliated in any way with Copyblogger. This is NOT an affiliate link. I just love them.

Note to mods: I didn't post this in the Copywriting forum because I think it's of value to anyone who does ANY kind of SEO writing and the info shouldn't be limited to copywriters.

They are that good because they are GOOD copywriters. You can convince anyone to take action if you write good copy.

True, but the main reason I will never unsubscribe from their list is that they are good teachers.

      A couple of my favorites:

"How I Became a Better Writer Thanks to Distracted, Hungover College Kids" - This subject line is of course brilliant copywriting, but the email itself contains actionable tips on economy of language, and talks about how and when you should "break the rules" of grammar and syntax.

"The Myth of Beautiful Website Design" - Among the lessons: "Design is not a magic pill," "Design is not your message," and "Design is not about you."

Sure, great copywriting may get people to open an email or read a sales letter or pull out their wallet, but the Copyblogger mailing list isn't about showing off their copywriting skills.

IMO, you can get a complete course in writing simply by reading the posts at Copyblogger (the same posts that are sent to their mailing list). These guys aren't about smoke and mirrors; they're teachers, and damned fine ones.
