Offline Site Theme (WP)

Does anyone know of a good Wordpress theme that is made for offline marketing? I mean one that maybe someone packaged in a WSO that has the basic wording of what you can provide, the contact form, list of services, etc. I know everyone will have different skills, so it would have to be modified, but anything that can give me a starting point so I can modify. I don't just want a nice looking theme - I'm talking a good theme with the pages, categories, etc. already there.

You have to add the content yourself as this sort of thing does not come with a theme.

Your theme is just the shell that houses your content.

Yeah, I know, but I think in some offline WSO a while back there was a WP site that was prebuilt so you could upload and modify to start offering services.

Hmmmm...if this is not out there, maybe I'll create one and put it up as a WSO.

There was/is a site included in the "$10K in a Week" package. I haven't seen any others, but haven't really been looking.

Quite honestly though, this is a little odd. You're the one who knows your expertise and what you can offer to a client. Why would you want to use a "canned" website for your consulting business? That's like having someone else tell you what you can and can't offer.

Wouldn't the business already know what "wording" they want to convey to their market, and wouldn't that be part of their unique selling proposition?

Everything you say is correct. I know that there are many different services that one can offer in the offline consulting biz, but when I tried to set up a site before, I just ran into writers block. If there were something generic that had the basics I could modify to my liking, delete what I can't offer, then that would be a start. I would add content where needed as well.

I just don't think I'm alone when it comes to creating something like this. Even just the basic look/feel that is very professional, the site structure, etc. - if that was all set up and ready, and all I did was maybe modify the header, delete the pages where I don't offer those services, add new ones, then I could be up and running more quickly - or in my case just up and running!

Sorry. Guess I missed that in your OP.

I like the Consultant theme by Templatic for a theme, and for wording and packages I'll reiterate what's been said about it making your own. For my own site I read through dozens of sites & took notes. I then translated it into my own words to demonstrate what I believe and practice, then wrote it down. There are and will continue to be WSOs that give you the wording, however I hope you take the time to make the message your own.

I sympathize that sometimes the hardest business to work on is my own. I have brilliant ideas for others but don't always practice them myself. Cobblers son has no shoes, etc..

I think this may be what you're looking for!

It's an awesome package, easy to set up and it's already got some great content written.
Of course, you should eventually customize it, but if you're looking for something sharp and professional looking to throw up in a hurry, you really can't go wrong with this one.

This is totally self-promotional, and I apologize for that, but I did run a WSO for the kind of site you're describing awhile back:

The WSO button doesn't work anymore, but if you're interested in purchasing, let me know and we can work something out.
