Good Stuff! "Adaptive Payments API" - From PayPal ;)

I have seen this before but had lost the link until someone asked the question
the other day and my lite bulb came on.

This can make things a lot more flexible when using PP to process JV deals or
other ventures. If you already have or plan to have on line business partners
then, you may want to check this out. Adaptive Payments API

Hope it Helps,
Have a Great Day!
Michael

Hi Steve, Do you have a link that references that "PayPal now accept subscription payments for people without a PayPal account"

That sounds like PP is stepping up to Help us Help them. Win/Win.

      Have a Great Day!

It seems Paypal just read it now,

    Hey Michael,

    https://merchant.paypal.com/us/cgi-b...t/erp_overview

It's called 'Enhanced Recurring Payments', and guess what... it's free til January 2011. After that it will cost $19.99 per month, which is still a good deal in my opinion.

Get involved while it's free! (they take there usual 3% of course!)

seems like paypals adaptive payments would be more popular a topic than it is (only 3 search results with a total of a good dozen responses - am I missing something?

We want to do a couple weeks beta before listing our products on clickbank marketplace (mainly to get some initial conversion statistics, as well as affiliate feedback on tools etc so we can hit the marketplace with optimally attractive affiliate program) - and as a way to say thanks to affiliates helping us with that we would like to give very high commission rate and instant payment (best split by paypal so they also know they will get paid, since we're new in the industry).

Would paypal adaptive payments/ split payments be the way to go, or what's the best solutions out there? (rather not pay hundreds for a whole suite of tools since we may only use it for a week or two)...

(our site is wordpress based with s2member pro for affiliate program)

Sorry, didn't realise this thread was over a year old and had just been resurrected.

    My bad,

I know it's not new - which is why I am surprised there's such few posts about it.

Is it working well for you guys here? (well, apart from the separate paypal issues)

Or are there strong downsides not apparent at first that stops most from using it?

Andy, I assume in your marketplace you are the point-of-sale/paypal account holder and the vendors are one of the parties the split payments go to?

(so that part of the value is protection from the paypal issues like frozen account in successful launches)

hmm, I really like what I see Andy, thanks for making me aware...looks like we'd be getting a whole lot more than I was looking for...instant affiliate payments, protection from paypal and affiliate exposure, for a couple percent extra to you? Sweet.

Question though - seems to me you are point of sale, like clickbank - but how can we list our products within minutes, without approval process - since you hold liability as the transacting party, no?

So we'd need a paypal premium account to be able to use paypal API then, right?

And can you tell me roughly how many active affiliates you have in the personal development industry? (I assume marketplace exposure works similar to clickbank?)

ohh, and you can use your marketplace, paydotcom and clickbank simultaneously with just one payment button? I like the way your minds work, way to be innovative and think for your customers...

Being somewhat new as a vendor of affiliate products - is there any downside to integrating those 3 marketplaces? Either for us, or the affiliates?

on your website it says: "When a visitor comes to your site without being referred by an affiliate, DigiResults takes over as the default processor and you get paid immediately into your Paypal account."

Does that mean whenever there is no affiliate, you act as the affiliate and get the commission?

A substantial part of our traffic won't come from affiliates, so that would make a big difference...

    Hi Michael,

I appreciate your interest but can I request that you email support@digiresults.com with your questions rather than posting here. The mods take a dim view on me using this as a support or sales forum and I wish to respect that.

In answer to the ones you've already posted though -

-Premium or business accounts can use the adaptive payments APIs. Personal accounts can't.
    - There's no downside to integrating the 3 but we always recommend starting with one to keep things simple and avoid confusion on the part of your initial affiliates.
    - When you make a direct sale we still take our small cut but we don't act as the affiliate, you get the affiliate's share when there isn't one.

    Cheers,

    Andy
